Schedule Board - Optimize Day View
Scenario: we are planing service jobs in a heavy industry solution for multiple days! As soon as we choose the day view. This view shows on each resource / day cell an aggregation of the numbers of booked hours. We don't need to see the hours, we need to see the Service Job name! Like it is in...
Field Service - Bookable Resource Start Position
Several customers have given the real world scenario that their Bookable resources will have different start and end locations each day.
This could be different regional offices, Hotels or their own house.
At the moment there is a limitation that you can only have you start and e...

Allow custom actions on Booking right-click
In almost every implementation, custom actions to a booking become necessary. Having to open the booking and calling logic by clicking a button or running an ondemand workflow is quite cumbersome for a dispatcher. Suggestion: To achieve maximum flexibility, provide the ability to register cust...

Better multiday overview
On the Field Service Schedule Board, by choosing the Days, Weeks or Months view, the information displayed is not enough for typical Field Service customer. The customer expects - like in the Hours-v...
Update 04/07/2020.
Thanks for all the feedback and votes on this idea! A Quick update on this idea, is that as part of the Next generation Schedule Board experience, we are working on the Days view improvements and bringing the Hourly style of Scheduling to Days view and is planned for October 2020 release.

Allow different types of work hours, such as normal, overtime, travel-only, etc.
We often get requirements where bookings should not be stricly constrained by the working hours. For an emergency, it may be acceptable that the technician works longer. Or travel from/to the job might be possible or even required outside the working hours. It would be great if we could define...
Thank you for your feedback. We understand the need for different types of work hours, we do not have this in our immediate roadmap, we are tracking it and if we get more feedback and votes, we may consider it in the near future.

Connected Work Orders on schedule board
When the Work Orders are booked for several different resources it would be very useful if all the connected work orders could "stand out" or be marked in a separate color if one of them were selected.
That way the scheduler could easily see which resources were booked for that particul...

Schedule Board - capability to schedule by days
For the D365 Field Service and Schedule Board - could a capability be added that you can drag and schedule a resource by days? Today the solution will allow scheduling by hours, but we have a need for scheduling by days.
A quick update on this feature, we are working on this feature and will be part of the October 2020 release.
Site calendar
When the service account is something like a store, it may be useful to track their opening hours in the same way as we have working hours for a resource.
The time window of a work order only works if opening hours are the same each day. However if the store is open Mo-Fr 8am-8pm, but o...
Hi Alexander,
Thank you for submitting the idea. This is a valid idea, and we will consider it for a future release. If this is seen as a need for others please continue to vote on the feature.

Web resource should be able to access current schedule board context
Currently it's possible to add a custom web resource to a schedule board. It would be helpful if 1) the web resource could access the current context, i.e. displayed date range, selected resource, selected booking etc. to show the respective details. 2) an update of the SB context would also a...

Calculate travel time when using drag&drop on the schedule board
When a resource requirement is scheduled using the Schedule Assistant, the travel time is correctly calculated. However when using drag&drop, the booking gets created w/o any travel times. This inconsistent behavior often confuses user.
Suggestion: Unify the behavior (...
Update 03/31/20
We released "Auto Update Booking Travel" feature in April 2019, to support the Calculation of travel time when booking is created by Drag and Drop on the Schedule Board. Please find more details here, https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/common-scheduler/schedule-travel-time#add-travel-time-with-manual-scheduling
We intend on shipping this short term. There are many details to work out such as, what happens when travel is 30 hours, or impossible, such as traveling across the globe. But we intend on handling the primary use cases short term.

Update 2/4/2021.
On the new Schedule Board, you would be able to see the Booked hours aggregation and the Name of the job on the Bookings itself. However, the ability to show a custom field on the Bookings in the Days view, is still something on our roadmap, not yet available in the schedule board.
Thanks,
Vinay
