New production floor execution feature: possibility to make the technology available for similar developments in ISV solutions

The look and feel of the new production floor execution form is great. As an ISV, we would like to use the same look & feel in order to develop applications using the same features (touch screens, badge, etc.). Is it possible to make the technology available for ISV? currently, it is not possible...

Thank you for your feedback.

Data entities for importing routes were released as part of Dynamics AX 7.0.

Route records can be imported using the Route operations V2 data entity.

The corresponding operations relations can be imported using the Route operation properties V2 and Resource requirements for route operation properties data entities.

Sincerely,

Søren Vagn Andersen, Principal Program Manager

Microsoft.

For the fall release 2017 we have implemented Production order, Production BOM and Production Route entities. They do however come with the limitation that you can only create or update production orders in state "Created". On the export side there is no limitation. The RTW of the Fall release should happen any day.

If you need these entities on a different version than the Fall release, please create a backport request. If you need production entities that can update production order information in a different state than created, please create a new product idea for that.

It is now possible to extend the session time-out limit for select users to a maximum of 90 days. To do so, you must

  1. Enable the (Preview) Enables session management for users feature in Feature management
  2. Go to System administration > Users > User session management and specify the Supply Chain Management user account that is used to sign in to the device, and the number of hours that the session should stay active for.

Extending the user session time-out is available starting from 10.0.20 / Platform Update 44 (July 2021 update), and applies to both the Job card terminal, the Job card device, and the new Production floor execution interface.

For more information, please refer to the Extend the session past 12 hours and User session management.documentation topics.
