At this stage, the material availability check is only available for production orders that are job scheduled. There is not really a good reason why operations scheduled orders would require a different process. Please enable the functionality for the operations scheduled production orders.

We now have a 3rd customer with Routes out of scope that also require the material availability check. What's the status of this idea?

We had 2 customers where use of routes wasn't in scope. It would be great to have the Production orders to release form working for these customers. Since the form is primarily used from a BOM component availibility perspective

We also would like to see this working for Production orders that have NO Route operations at all.

I agree that, but ALL sales/manufacturing companies need material reservation function which reserve materials and goods based on vendor Leed Time and existing stock quantity. In that case reservation function not working. That issue come exists all other business cases than FIFO order handling scenarios. Without "last part order date" reserve function company stock values rising and business critical ATP/CTP cannot be used.

I agree with Wolfgang. The availability check/form should be whatever status on the production order.

Very good idea !!!

In my opinion it would even be nice to have the ability to check material avilibility even for production orders in the Status started - like the tile "Production orders to relaease"

This does seem like an inconsistency to me

Good idea
