Currently It is not possible to end a production order with RAF = 0 good quantity and 100% scrap for standard cost items. It through "Missing report as finished quantity" error. But this is a possible scenario that when you planned to produce something. Maybe you started operation 10 and that failed and you stopped the order and operation 20 and 30 are not executed and thus you don't have any RAF output on the production order but you have spent time and material ..This is completely a valid scenario in real life.

We have several customers across the globe is requesting for this function. Having this will greatly support customers business. Kindly consider this with high priority.

Thank you for your feedback.

This is a great suggestion! We will consider this in our roadmap.

We run into this scenario every time we clean our equipment. Upon starting up, we will consume raw materials but, because of the timing, we won't have any production to report until the next shift.

Definately needed as the work around for the is to Finish As Good one unit they to manually write that unit off. You can imagine the nightmare that causes with Inventory Audits, the Variance reports for Wip and Absorption, the Possibility of someone reserving that inventory while it sits as Finished, hassel it is for SOX controlled companies to have to explain they are using a world class ERP system but they have to Produce a unit and write a unit off as a work around to a system limitation

Common scenario for production and batch orders!
- when released orders must be canceled but good to have history in plan. Then RAF with 0.
- Orders were started but had to be canceled. Picking lists already posted but nothing produced.
- production orders are used for allocating hours in the plan. We do not really want to put item on stock, but good to finish the orders.

We're a manufacturing business and this is a regular issue for us, this is needed functionality.

Is this still not on the roadmap? I get this question from customers every other month...

This idea proposes to enable ending without a report as finished journal.
I can fully support this idea which is quite generic in as well discrete as process manufacturing industry.
Workaround suggested in the past to register a dummy report as finished, which must be scrapped in inventory does not suit the industry requirement.

By implementing this idea we will:
• reduce unneeded and fictional administrative actions which are probably performed by different roles (SOX impact)
o register report as finished on the order by an operator/planner
o scrap a quantity by the warehouse responsible
o end production order by a financial responsible
• bring the ERP process back in line with business reality, where some productions do not result in an actual yield due to a variety of possible causes:
o nature of the product (e.g. chemical/ biological circumstances) making production results uncertain
o nature of the production (e.g. trial orders)
o cancelling a production order before completion
o …
• provide a more correct and transparent reporting, as well for production efficiency as for scrap reporting.

Generic requirement for batch AND production orders. This is well needed.

Agree with others in this thread this is a business necessity and needs this functionality.

Agreed with others on this thread....the scenario shown simply happens, quite regularly, in a real-life manufacturing environment. This is important to have.

This is a priority from my point of view. We shouldn't have to vote to get this process in place it's a necessity.
