In 10.0.11/Platform update 35, a new API (Message::AddAction) has been introduced to allow actions to be embedded in message bars. These actions can point to either a display or action menu item. This API is meant to serve as the replacement for SysInfoAction.

    A new grid control for Finance and Operations apps is available for public preview starting in 10.0.9 / Platform update 33. This includes the replacement grid control featuring faster rendering, smoother scrolling, and improved handling of larger datasets. Additional capabilities like totals, grouping, fast data entry are also available. The ability to freeze columns is also being targeted.

    Note that not all the capabilities described in this suggestion are currently planned (grid in a grid and multi-line column headers). These should be logged individually as other suggestions.

Ability to make a field mandatory by personalizing form

The ability to mark a control as mandatory via personalization was completed over two versions of the product. The option to mark a field as mandatory via personalization by right-clicking on a control and then selecting Personalize was completed in 10.0.11  (Platform update 35). A new "Required" mode in the personalization toolbar to also mark fields as mandatory was added in 10.0.12 (Platform update 36).

A new grid control for Finance and Operations apps is available for public preview starting in 10.0.9 / Platform update 33. This includes the replacement grid control featuring faster rendering, smoother scrolling (due to more aggressive pre-loading of data), and improved handling of larger datasets. There are no plans to adjust the infinite scrolling behavior of grids in Finance and Operations apps (this is required since the size of the full dataset is often unknown); however, the new grid does provide positional scrolling within the data that has been loaded on the client.

Additional capabilities that are included with the new grid include totals, grouping, and fast data entry. Fast data entry includes the ability to paste a table (rows and columns) from Excel starting in a single cell of the grid. The ability to freeze (pin) columns is also being targeted with the new grid. Programmatic formatting of cells can be achieved using the displayOption() API. If there are extra capabilities in this space, please log a separate suggestion in the Ideas portal describing those.

Note that not all the capabilities described in this suggestion are currently planned (see the list below). These should be logged individually as other suggestions for tracking.

- Developer APIs to control page size and number of pages to load ahead of time
- Wrapped headers
- Ability to show generic hierarchical data in a grid

The ability to embed third-party apps is available as public preview starting in 10.0.9 / Platform update 33. There are two aspects to this feature. First, you can add a new tab page with an iframe that points to your external web page in an existing form via personalization. This aspect requires the Saved views feature to be enabled. Second, you can add a new page to the dashboard, similar to a custom workspace, that will just contain an iframe that points to your external web page. This portion can be enabled via the Full-page apps feature in Feature management.

This capability already exists with the Alerts feature. When you choose to create an alert for 'All records', it is actually basing that on the set of filter conditions currently defined on the form. See the Conditions section of Create alerts for more details.

Saving / remembering filters set by end user

It would be great if an end user could set a filter in a list which would be kept until it was changed or cleared. 

By allowing to save queries/filters, the user could create different views for different tasks.
