Feature in Guides for the operators to write notes of what they performed

Suggested by Shilpa Ramteke New  0 Comments

    Hello,

We wanted to know if we can have a feature added in Guides Operate mode where the user can write notes on what all they performed during the specific steps so that it can be later reviewed.

Feature in Guides which can show some warning on misalignments or wrong placement of any part of equipment

Suggested by Shilpa Ramteke New  0 Comments

    Hello,

This is a business critical requirement where we want a feature in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Guides where after a step shows the user where and how to place a part of an equipment, and when the user performs that step and places it in a wrong way then Guides should be able to identify it and throw a warning or alert to the user on the wrong placement. This is a business critical requirement and need to know if this can be implemented.

How to hide the (default) instance from Guides? I have tried everything it seems.

Suggested by Raide n New  1 Comments

When I sign into Guides, I see two instances, example(default) instance, and a Production instance.

I am trying to hide the example(default) instance of Guides during sign-in. I no longer use the (default) instance.

I tried going to powerapps.microsoft.com and under "Your Apps" in (default), I have "Turned off" both Remote Assist and Guides apps.

    Interestingly enough,

This has successfully hidden the (default) instance inside of the Remote Assist during Remote Assist sign-in screen!,

but it has unsuccessfully hidden the (default) instance inside of Guides during the sign-in screen.

What to do now?? Where to go from here?

Unfortunately the "Delete" button is greyed out and I can't delete the app under powerapps.microsoft.com Your Apps.

How do I go about removing Guides from the (default) instance so that it does not appear during sign-in?

I am already aware that there is no way I can restrict the default environment visibility using an Azure AD Group (all other environments have this feature, except for default environment)

I am already using the restrict visibility on non-default environments. I wish I could restrict visibility of (default) too....

My (default) environment is still prevalent during sign-in and unfortunately still pops up during Guides sign-in, no matter what I try.

I am only using the production environment and want to get rid of the (default) environment during sign-in. The (default) Guides is "turned off" but it still shows up during sign-in....

How do I remove (default) environment from Guides sign-in screen?

    Software Updates Link within Application

Suggested by Edward Davis Jr New  0 Comments

Provide a link within Settings that allows a user to perform updates to the D365 Guides PC application without having to comeback to microsoft store. This could be a URL Link or use the Windows update feature to include Guides updates with Windows patching.

Able to create a View with three level relationship ( 3 level hierarchy )

Suggested by Divya Raghavendra New  0 Comments

A&R solution is configured for Hierarchy.

All the contacts ( Hierarchy has 3 stages )I just scrolled 3 steps (Parent child, grand parent)

In the Account form we have added a rollup field Number of contacts which calculates all contacts in the account A and R solutions.

I added one contacts now it is 22

All these 22 contacts need to be displayed in contact entity view ( Any thing personal or System)

But the desired result is not matching with the number of contacts its mismatching.

However, I have referred a document and found that

I am bit Unsure about that, but based on my understanding condition cannot be connected by OR in the filter of a view, because they are all in the related entity. Only the fields in the same entity can be connected by OR.

We need to modify the fetch xml in order to get all contacts, we wish we need a OOB feature to add in the views

Enter holograms and positions on PC

Suggested by Simon Seidlich New  0 Comments

In order to simplify the creation of complex guides, it makes sense to introduce the function of managing and creating holograms and their position via the PC Guides application.

A 3D object or an image of the object could be used to place the holograms.

When copying steps, the information of the holograms is also copied. These would then only have to be managed.

Interactable content with persistence throughout steps

Suggested by Raide n New  0 Comments

Scenario: I am using Guides to instruct on assembling a physical collection of parts.

I have given a supplementary list of numbered parts: "Overview of parts." which has pictures of all of the parts in the scene.

I would like to bring this "Overview of parts" list with me as an interactable hologram throughout the Guide, so that I can manually position the list near my workspace, and refer to it throughout the Guide steps.

    • This idea is similar to, "Anchor a Hologram across multiple steps, except that I want to place a 3D part in 1 Step, and then set it as interactable + persist throughout the remaining steps at its user-specified location.

What is the best way to open persistent content throughout a Guide, without opening it in a separate Slate window application?

I want to display the Parts Overview page across all of the guide steps, but only utilize the interface built-in to Guides, and wondering if a persistent hologram could be a potential solution.

Set up guide before Scanning Anchor

Suggested by Desiree Ong New  0 Comments

-Add Task option to display set up before Anchor | QR Code scan.

With Guides that are ADHOC and can be set up anywhere with an available table surface.

It would be helpful to create a task to show Set up and QR code position before scanning.

    Thanks,

    • Ability to color code tabs
    • Ability to see a thumbnail image of the media panel when viewing overall task flow.
    • Ability to duplicate task and steps.

    HoloLens Guide Author usability.

    • Ability to lock assets during author mode so that assets can be set close together without accidentally moving the previous set asset.
    • Ability to see an angle marker or a ghost image of previous position to get better accuracy in placing objects.
    • Ability to gain a keyboard to make notes or adjust task within HoloLens.
    • Ability to delete hologram asset within HoloLens Guide.
    • Ability to speed hover over button click speed time.

ms-guides:// support for switching environments with URL (link to this guide)

Suggested by Raide n New  0 Comments

My tenant has two environments (Development and Production).

The production environment contains 1:1 copies of Guides from the Development environment.

When I use the Dynamics 365 Guides (for Windows) app to "Copy link to this guide" (E.G. ms-guides://productionEnvironmentURL/g/xxxxxxxxxx) I try to scan the URL with the headset, but the headset enters the guide within the Development environment, despite the fact that the Production URL is embedded inside of the ms-guides:// link.

The Guides headset user has full permissions to switch over to the Production environment, but the HoloLens 2 Guides app does not heed the productionEnvironmentURL inside of the link to the Guide and simply enters the 1:1 copy of the guide inside of the Development environment.

I wonder why the environment URL is encoded inside of the link, if it does not tell the Guides app to switch environments?

Thank you for taking a look!!
