Add Video Recording Frame Overlay
Suggested by John D Miller – Needs Votes – 0 Comments
Add a video frame when taking videos so users can easily see what is recorded. Currently you have to experiment by taking multiple recordings when developing videos to make sure you are capturing what you want to see. I have to hold things above my line of sight, directly in front of the HL2 to get a good recording. Having a frame which indicates what will be seen on the recording will significantly speed up the video/guide creation process. -
HL2 Zoom Capability
Suggested by John D Miller – Needs Votes – 0 Comments
Add a Zoom capability when taking video with the HL2, so users can focus on a specific area, item to discuss/take videos of. Currently if you need to see a specific item, you have to get close to see it. This is not possible in space constrained areas. -
Add Guides Referral URL to DataVerse Entity Table
Suggested by Mark Rydman – Needs Votes – 0 Comments
We would like to add the ability for Guides to store the complete referral URL as a field in DataVerse. We could then use this to pass query string parameters from one system to another. Great for identifying the user under device licensing scenarios. -
Make Question Button Label Longer
Suggested by John D Miller – Needs Votes – 0 Comments
Lengthen the Button Label for the answer to questions. Make the button label to be as long as the step text field. This will allow better button labels to be set instead of Yes/No This will enable recording of statements i.e.: Question: Were all steps successfully completed. YES - All steps were completed correctly; - this would go to the completion step. NO - All steps were not completed; - this would direct you where to record the necessary information why steps could not be completed; - i.e.: document problems with the equipment, etc. NO - This guide information is inaccurate - this would direct the person to the proper escalation for guide improvement - i.e. contact tech support to submit inaccurate step information & provide accurate information -
Shared Experience on multiple devices
Suggested by Simone Boniolo – Needs Votes – 0 Comments
Two or more technicians are on the field, each with his Hololens. They're wotking together on an equipment and they need to see a Guide helping them dismounting part of the equipment. Using D365 Guides, the can see the guide but indipendently. It would be great if the can share thesame D365 Guide. If this won't be possible withing the app D365 Guides, could be great using a second app (running on both Hololens devices) that only share the spatial anchor and the visible holograms. In this way, uno device drives the Guide throw the teps, and in the meanwhile share all the holograms expereience with his collegue device near him. If two or more devices were used in the same environment, why don't share the holograms using the same spatiaòl anchor? At the end it's something like "Spectator view" but within D365 Guides or made with a specific app used for this sharing expereince.. Thank you. Simone B. -
Automatically start a follow-up guide after another guide is finished
Suggested by Maximilian Winkelmann – Needs Votes – 0 Comments
It would be useful to automatically start another guide if the current guide is finished or to ask the user wether he/she wants to continue directly with the next guide. -
Copy a personalized hologram to the next step
Suggested by Maximilian Winkelmann – Needs Votes – 0 Comments
It happens that you want very specific personalized holograms (modified in size, color, orientation) in every step of your guide. You should be able to copy a hologram from one step to another in autoring mode to have the exact same size etc. avaiable. -
"CTRL+Z" function while authoring guides
Suggested by Maximilian Winkelmann – Needs Votes – 0 Comments
It would be useful (and very time-saving!) if there was a function like "ctrl+z" on pc to undo the latest action. It happens very often that you want to move (or change the size of) a hologram but end up with a totally misplaced one. A quick undo of the last step would safe a lot of time. -
Implement if/else structures and beeing able to safe and use this information
Suggested by Maximilian Winkelmann – Needs Votes – 0 Comments
Sometimes you want to need to ask for a specific information during operating of the guide and then use this information again later, without having to ask the same question again. This can be used to implement more complex guides and precedures. -
Lock Position of Objects in Author Mode
Suggested by Murray Fife – Needs Votes – 0 Comments
When authoring guides on the HL, if we have a number of objects in the view, then it is very easy to accidentally nudge objects and move them. It would be great to be able to "Lock" an object from movement until it is unlocked.
