    Adminstrators to Act as User

Suggested by Eugene Van Rejected  0 Comments

Allow Administrators to "Act" as another user within the same session in order to better support the application. For example if a user has inform us of an issue, we should be able to act as them and attempt to replicate the issue. For resolutions and customisations, we should be able to act as the user to test that a resolution is successful. For certain updates/customisations, it is not possible for administrators to test i.e. if it a specific access change to a security role, the only way to test this is to approach a user and get them to test it. What administrators should be able to do is make changes to a users profile, act as them to test the change. Change our own security role will not help as the admin role will override whatever additional role that has been provided. Removing the admin role will result in requiring someone with admin access to revert the admin role. In my opinion, the ability to act as a user (like SAP Ariba) would be a feature of huge benefit.

Feature to notify the administrator in advance when changes are made on the UI

Suggested by nishimura Shinya Rejected  1 Comments

Due to [Deprecation of Dynamics 365 Home], clear guidance has not been notified to the administrator, causing confusion for users. In the future, features that will be deprecated or changed on the UI should be clearly notified to the administrator. Without notification, the administrator will not check the MS docs.

Security/System Administrator to open D365 as seen by another user

Suggested by IAN CRM Rejected  1 Comments

As a person that supports many customers in O365 and D365, one of my greatest frustrations is the inability to quickly run D365 'as the end user'. This is even more complicated supporting the Outlook App as the licensing restrictions (D365 AND Exchange) mean it is difficult to even set up a test user to replicate functionality and analyse issues. Would be a huge improvement for support to quickly run the O365 and D365 experience as the customer. I appreciate that there are privacy concerns, so accept that the 'run as' would only focus on the D365 side and 'hide' the user's mailbox contents. Nothing more than being a sys admin would expose anyway.

Prevent assigning of CRM security roles for users without a D365 license

Suggested by Michael Shoppee Rejected  0 Comments

Given that users can appear in the Enabled Users view of CRM after being allocated a license which includes the Common Data Service component (e.g. the Microsoft Flow Free license) it is technically possible for security roles to be assigned to these accounts. This can result in users having access to records in CRM despite not having a D365 license. Even though this situation can be avoided with proper management of licenses and security roles, it would be beneficial if the CRM interface prevented security roles from be assigned to users without a valid D365 license.
