Set Default View and Remember Selected View in Subgrids and Associated Views

Suggested by Hauke Jacobsen Under Review  7 Comments

Many of our users are requesting an enhancement to the view selector in subgrid and associated views in Model Driven App experience.

They would like to set their own default view and return to the view which they selected when navigating to a related record from the subgrid or the associated view. This feature should match the functionality already available in the main grid views and would help greatly to navigate more efficiently between records.

Display 6 fields in 1 line in a form like Quotes and Invoices on UCI.

Suggested by 祐太 脇田 Under Review  0 Comments

When placing 6 rows of fields in a form, such as Quotes and Invoices on UCI, we could no longer display it as 1 line. With WebUI, it was possible to display 6 fields as 1 line. With UCI, the maximum number of fields that could fit in 1 line is 4. When wanting to display 6 fields, it splits into 2 lines and our clients work efficiency goes down as it is hard to see. We strongly believe that being able to display 6 fields in 1 line makes it not only easier to look, but would also increase clients work efficiencies. Thank you for your consideration.

Ability to select a 'Group By' column value by default

Suggested by Sri M Under Review  6 Comments

Editable grids allow users to select a column value from the view as the 'Group By' value allowing users to group records based on data present within the record. For example, users can Group opportunities by 'Industry' and view all open opportunities grouped meaningfully. If a user selects a Group By value manually and navigates away from the view, this value is lost and the user has to select the 'Group By' value again. Allow system administrators to set a default 'Group By' value for a view (similar to default sorting and filters) to minimize the number of clicks a user has to make.

Email Activites being displayed in wrong order

Suggested by Cristian Mihai Under Review  6 Comments

Within a case, there is the Notes/Activities/Post grid. This displays email activities in Modified date order. We have noticed that if you open an existing email, for example which was created and last modified several days in the past, and action a reply or forward, then the modified date of the original email gets updated to todays date. This means that when views activities in the grid, they are no longer in chronological order.
Please advise what is being updated on the original email when the reply or forward is made and why and more importantly how we can stop this as it is affecting the accurate visibility of client interactions.

    Activity Rollup Cascade Behaviour

Suggested by Rhett Clinton Under Review  5 Comments

New cascade behaviour to enable rollup of activities for parent entity relationships. This would allow a parent entity to view activities of its children in the same way Account and Contact offer this feature. This would allow custom entities to obtain the same richness as built in features.

Create Impersonate Role to allow users to login as a specific CRM User

Suggested by Daniel Milton Under Review  6 Comments

As a Dynamics CRM User who supports D365 CRM IT projects and enhancements it is extermely painful to validate specific end user experience when implementing net new features. It would be helpful to impersonate a specific user in a sandbox environement to help validate that the new functionality is working as expected. Otherwise we don't truly know if a feauture is working as expected until end user UAT. Creating dummy generic user profiles has several limitations and require a high level of support from our dynamics admin

In addition enabling impersonate would be helpful for triaging system regressions for specific CRM users. Today we have to meet with the end user to see what their issue is.

We have impersonate native in our SN platform. Not having impersonate is viewed as a major setback for Sales Operations as we as for IT support as part of our migration to D365.

App for Outlook / for Queue / Shared Mailboxes

Suggested by Matthias Back Under Review  7 Comments

Working on centralized emailaddresse like "support". The web client has certain gaps against the MS Office outlook client. e.g.:

    - Colours

    - Set Reminders

    - spell check

    - Signatures with pictures...

Most clients use before the start with CRM the Share Mailbox approach. unfortunately it is not possible to configure a Shared Mailbox with the Dynamics 365 App for Outlook.

So these power email users needs to work with the webclient and all the big gaps...

It would be great if we could in future also make the dyn 365 app for outlook to be able to work on shared mailboxes

2020 Wave 1 Kanban board should allow other business process flows

Suggested by Carl Cookson Under Review  16 Comments

The new Kanban view in 2020 Wave 1 only displays the default business process to be used and viewed. Many customers and partners will leave the default process and create a new one for their use, and these new ones will not be reflected in the kanban board. In addition, split processes don't work

Optional send invitation request on server-side appointment synchronization

Suggested by Lars Rensinghoff Under Review  6 Comments

As Microsoft has introduced the server-side synchronization to sync CRM Activities with Microsoft Exchange without the need of Dynamics CRM for Outlook Addin this is a great new feature while working with mobile devices.

However, there is a pitfall for customers working with appointments to structure their day-to-day work. With server-side synchronization, any appointment synced to Exchange will lead to an invitation request send to any required or optional party of that appointment. As the users often reschedule their appointments or never even want to send any invitation, it would be great to have a chance to Opt-In to that “automatic invitation” feature rather than having them send automatically.

Even just a Boolean flag “do send invitation request on server-side appointment synchronization” would be great!
