The new Kanban view in 2020 Wave 1 only displays the default business process to be used and viewed. Many customers and partners will leave the default process and create a new one for their use, and these new ones will not be reflected in the kanban board. In addition, split processes don't work

  • We deal with so many sales teams with split processes. We should be able to control this somehow.
  • Would also be great, if the cards for the opportunity were customizable.
  • I strongly support this idea. Kanban view is just great, it is probably copied from Salesforce.com lighting and it really serve well the work of salespeople who deal with many opportunities and need to quickly monitor and update data. However, the fact that only MS standard Opportunity sales process business process flow can be displayed makes it pretty useless. Majority of organizations have built their own process and larger corporations typically have several process per different business units and users. I hope that MS realizes that they have delivered a great feature but only 5% of their customers can currently benefit from it. I'd really be happy if a small enhancement to allow selection / default of business process flow can be done within a short time frame.
  • Also this option should work with all entities with business process! When it works with all business process :-)
  • I wonder that no action has been taken yet for this idea. I have worked with Kanban earlier in SFDC and it was a dealbreaker for salesreps to update opps about revenue, margin and est. close date (easiest approach ever to overdue opportunities). The current Kanban view is a useless feature in larger organizations like ours where several business units utilize different business processes. As said earlier in other comments, also the field of the card should be customizable per each business process. In SFDC this was possible, although there was a limit of max field for each card. I'd really love to see D365 Global team to give comments and share plans for this feature.
  • We really need Kanban board also for custom entities to manage also for example Pre Sales process. For this we can partially use kanban board for activities but it does not support business process, only activity statuses.
  • As it is offer on Opportunities, Kanban views cannot be used. Few customer uses the out of box Business Process Flow. We desperately need it to be working on custom business process flow. Else the feature can be abandoned.
  • Definitely hoping to see a fully configurable and flexible Kanban view control rolled out in 2022. Such a nice feature, it is a shame it can't be used because so many business process flows are customised and the current control only supports the default values.
  • I hope this is coming soon. We cannot use this feature as-is, but it would be a huge hit if we could use different processes.

  • Kanban boards are the lifeblood of our sales team. Without kanban for custom Business Process Flows I will never get them to fully adopt the platform.
