Quote cancellation operation should be implemented in POS D365

Suggested by Nitin Kanojia New  0 Comments

Currently in POS D365, we are able to edit the quotes by using the "Recall order" operation but not able to cancel the quotes. The "Cancel quote" operation should be implemented in POS so that user can cancel the quote just like what we use to do in D365 F&O in "All quotations" form.

Support the Site and Default order settings on Customer orders should only impact Commerce customers

Suggested by Kina R New  0 Comments

There is a a feature called, "Support the Site and Default order settings on Customer orders", to enable Default Order Settings for select SKUs within D365. In the feature management section, it states that this feature is for Retail and Commerce, stating if "any customer order is created at AX-Call Center & e-commerce. Customer orders created through POS do not respect this setting."

From our findings, the default order settings also impacts manually placed orders from within D365, so it is not just for e-Commerce or Call Center. This heavily impacts our ability to use this feature, since we have many other channels that would be impacted. Furthermore, the reason and importance of this feature for us is to prevent customers from order too much of the same product, which has resulted in customers wiping out all inventory of select SKUs during peak seasons. This directly impacts sales, since our Wholesale locations are then missing key products to sell seasonal products.

There should be a feature for Commerce that is strictly to enable Default Order Settings for select SKUs for Commerce only. This could be a feature that is only available within the Commerce Product or Navigation Hierarchy or the Catalog itself, preventing any impacts to other channels. Currently the default order setting feature lives within the "Retail Released Products" section and impacts the inventory at all our channels.

Enhancements to Multi-User Store Commerce Installation

Suggested by Gustav Sundblad New  0 Comments

When using EntraId single signon for Store Commerce in combination with shared installation (Multi user, --UseCommonApplicationData) there are two main challenges we need to handle:

    - Adding users to the local security group RetailChannelUsers is a challenge when installing in userspace since we cannot easily add all users that need to use the computer to that local security group. Using group policy is not always possible due to security setup so a way to add users centrally in HQ and allow for replication to the local group or similar using Entra ID groups would be preferred.

    - Automatically killing or otherwise handling the requirement to have only one instance of the Store Commerce application running is a challenge since users are not always clear that they need to shut down the application when locking the screen temporarily. Either allowing users to terminate the running instance or otherwise allowing multiple users to use the same device using entraid without needing to reboot the computer would be needed.

Restrict sales to whole quantity configuration

Suggested by Dhaval Patel New  0 Comments

Released products have Default order setting in which you can define sales order parameters, you can use multiplier "1" to sell whole quantity in increment of 1 but this configuration is not applied to Store Commerce App (POS). This should support to POS as well.

Inconsistent transaction data (line items with differing transaction dates and times) due to Offline mode modifications.

Suggested by Shree Biradar New  0 Comments

When a POS cashier attempts to checkout a transaction and fails in Online mode due to a network disruption, they are allowed to manually or automatically switch to Offline mode and modify the cart in any ways (add/modify/void sales lines or tender lines) before attempting checkout again. This creates a potential issue, as it’s possible for the Online mode checkout to have succeeded before or during the switch to Offline mode, leading to inconsistent transaction data due to modifications made in Offline mode.

Ability to manage access right based on Metadata (lists/Sharepoint Library)

Suggested by Magdalena Szuminska New  0 Comments

When we create a common list or add metadata in the SharePoint library, we allow all people who have access to the list/SharePoint library the same access to all lines. This means that if we would like people to edit the list, they can add all lines, not just the ones that concern them.

I would like to be able to add access based on the metadata. So, if I have a choice column, I could use it to set access rights. The owner would have access to all data, and then I could add group A that can only edit lines marked under option 1, and group B could edit only lines for option 2.

All of them see each other's lines and have a full overview, but they don't mess with each other's data.

Enable sales receipt email functionality at a self-checkout register

Suggested by Ben Amchin New  0 Comments

The current functionality for Self-checkout does not have the capability of sending email receipts to the customer. From a user experience perspective, this would prove invaluable to best service the customer on their terms.

This would use the standard email logic that the POS already uses, just extending the logic to a register marked as self-checkout.

Media server access to a non-anonymous storage container in Azure

Suggested by Ben Amchin New  0 Comments

Many companies have requirements to not allow anonymous access to their storage containers in their Azure tenant. This makes it impossible to use blob storage as the media server for POS images of all types.

The request is to allow the Azure blob container to allow the connection of an azure blob container that does NOT have anonymous access enabled to be used as the media server for POS images.

Facilitate the identification of transactions between Adyen and Dynamics 365

Suggested by Eduardo Rivera Mendoza New  0 Comments

When a customer uses an Adyen connector on POS and needs to identify the relationship between cash and carry transactions and the Adyen reference, they must search through HQ transactions for each payment individually. This involves navigating to Store Transactions > Payment Transactions > Payment Authorization Token and sorting through 25,000 characters to find the tender reference. This reference is then used to match the transaction with the Adyen tender reference field, confirming that the transaction is the same on both Dynamics and the Adyen portal.

Another issue is that this search only works one way. If a customer requests the receipt number or sales order number, they can retrieve the relevant information. However, if they only have the tender reference number, they cannot search D365 for this number. This is particularly relevant in chargeback cases, where a charge appears in Adyen but no corresponding transaction is found in D365. Without manually reviewing every sale record for the store on that day, the customer cannot confirm whether this was a problematic transaction. This is similar to the situation with ECOM, where the data sent to Adyen includes an authorization number for the payment in D365.

The request is to implement a quicker way to identify the Adyen reference in the Dynamics user interface, ideally in an individual field, using the receipt or transaction ID.

    Thanks!
