Dynamics 365 Field Service

I wanted to share a suggestion that could potentially streamline our CE work order process and enhance efficiency.

Wouldn't it be fantastic if we had a paper template that includes all the necessary information for CE work orders? The idea is that when our crew fills out the paperwork order, the admin can simply scan the paper ticket into a blank work order. Then, with the help of AI or copilot, all the data could be automatically inputted into the work order, exactly where it needs to be.

This approach could save us a significant amount of time and reduce the risk of errors associated with manual data entry. I believe it could be a game-changer for our workflow.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this idea and discuss how we might implement it.

I would like to have the same possablity for adding products to work orders / bookings as can be done wirh opportinities, quotes and invoices. The enhanced experience.

The scenario we have is that a customer on the same worksite has ordered several changes to be done during the workday.

Our planner wants to manually select multiple work orders and assign them to a technician (resource) on the scheduling board.

It can get quite tedious to drag and drop 10-15 work orders to the same resource.

Enable the Bookings preview option when the filter is by day or moth. Currently work with hourly only.

When one is presenting multiple data on meetings, using for example normal laptop and display (Teams). the end result and work "drag and drop" to presenting window is "out dated".

What is needed is a general shortcut or something that can activate my program in full screen on the active display.

I am not sure I am introducing this correctly... but hopefully.

Resource have their daily standup and planned meetings and similarly other unplanned activities. In that case, RSO is not scheduling resources for the non-working time. so that’s why its reflecting as white space over the schedule board and its not showing the clear visibility to dispatcher. So, for the non-productive activities, we are creating NPA activities and marking as scheduled but do not move so the RSO can move the scheduled activities.

These actions significantly reduced manual intervention, streamlined operations, and enhanced the overall efficiency of the RSO system.

To address white space reduction, we implemented customizations to improve scheduling efficiency. When a booking was finished early or started late, we updated the planned completion date and time dynamically. This adjustment ensured that bookings on the schedule board reflected real-time availability, providing better clarity.

Additionally, this approach made the resource's available time accessible for the next run of the intra-day RSO, optimizing resource utilization. To achieve this functionality, we utilized Power Automate along with custom plugins, enabling seamless updates and improved operational efficiency.

Preview of a PDF document should be available in Field Service Mobile App for Android in the Timeline section just like we have for iOS devices.

Will suggest to have a Design Change Request so that the attached PDFs can be directly previewed in the Android App of Field service.

When entering the Scheduling board the view start always defaults to the day of today.

So if the day of today is a Tuesday then the board view start with Tuesday.

We would like to see a parameter that states which day the board should start to view from.

This will make it possible to have a rigid board view showing an entire week from a special starting day.

If the parameter is left empty then the board would work as it does today, if there is a value (one of Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat or Sun) then the board will start from that day within the current week.

We would find it very useful to be able to enter travel time after the work for a booking has been completed and have it display on the schedule in the same manner as travel to a booking currently does. It is rare that our resources travel to successive bookings, but we do have a need to factor in return travel at the end of a day or other travel between bookings.

Post travel could have options of:

• Return to resource start/end location
• Travel to another specified location or unspecified location with a travel time entered
• Apply travel time for next booking i.e. behave as it currently does now.

This applies to both work order and project bookings.
