Schedule board - make ability to display more/same fields and make possible to define colours for each events as is in Horly view
Suggested by Lukáš Chalupa – New – 0 Comments
Our customer builds trade fair stands and would like to use Resource planning as a key scheduling feature.
However, in order to do this, he needs to be able to display the Trade Fair Name, Venue (Exhibition Site), Duration in the Monthly View and also be able to set the color of the respective event according to the resource responsible for the event. Essentially the same functions can be set in the Hourly View.
Please, improve the mothly view to be abe to display same as Hourly view.

New Schedule Board Takes 3-5 seconds per job scheduled to update/sync. Legacy schedule board was immediate
Suggested by Casey Houghton – New – 0 Comments
The new schedule board takes 3-5 seconds per work order scheduled to update/sync. The legacy board was almost immediate. After a call with the support team, it was confirmed by the Product team, this is the expected behavior. "After dragging the booking, the update operation is in progress. If it succeeds, the booking will move to the updated position. If it fails, it will remain in the same place. The spinner that appears within the booking indicates that an update is in progress."
This process takes 3 to 5x longer than it did on the legacy board.

Make validation of Field Service Plugin Steps configurable, as validation breaks down some business cases
Suggested by Rolf Weiglein – New – 0 Comments
The validation in the plugin step "Field Service: Update (pre-operation) for msdyn_workorder" breaks down our business process in some cases and the error "The currency must be the same as the currency on the price list."Â occurs. In the error cases the data comes from our ERP system and in some cases we have that data constellation there. Since the currency is not relevant for us in D365 with regard to invoicing, we would like to turn off the validation. So it would be good if it could be configured, if the validation is active or inactive.

Copy custom field values from Incident Type Service Task into Work Order Service Task
Suggested by Marcelo Augusto – New – 0 Comments
Hi,
The Incident Types and the related Incident Type Service Tasks serve as templates for the Work Order Incident and Work Order Service Tasks. There Microsfot logic already clones the information from the template tables into the ones associated to the Work Order. Since all these tables are customizable we would like to enhance them with more fields so we can see them reflected the tasks.
So our use case is to provide additional information in the Incident Type Service Tasks and have our custom fields being mapped automatically to the related Work Order Service Tasks. At the moment this is not possible and we are using a workaround of copying the information into an OOB field to get our data mapped into the Task.

Dark Mode / Theme for Dynamics 365
Suggested by Ulrik Aggergaard – New – 0 Comments
Subject: Request for Dark Mode in Dynamics 365 Field Service
Dear Microsoft Team,
I am a regular user of Dynamics 365 Field Service and greatly appreciate the features and capabilities it offers. However, I have noticed that the platform does not currently support a fully integrated Dark Mode.
Dark Mode is increasingly becoming a standard feature in modern applications due to its significant advantages:
- Reduced eye strain for users during extended periods of work.
- Energy efficiency on OLED and AMOLED screens, aligning with many organizations' sustainability goals.
- Improved usability in low-light environments, offering a more comfortable user experience.
While Windows 10 supports Dark Mode at the system level, it would be incredibly beneficial to have a similar feature within Dynamics 365 Field Service. This would not only enhance user satisfaction but also contribute to energy savings—a win-win for both users and the environment.
I kindly request that your team consider implementing a full Dark Mode option in future updates to Dynamics 365 Field Service. This addition would undoubtedly align with current user expectations and modern usability standards.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to seeing how Dynamics 365 continues to evolve.
Best regards,

Allow mobile device users to track appointment from Outlook with Dynamcis 365 App for Outlook
Suggested by Wayne Le – New – 2 Comments
Our users can use Dynamics 365 App for Outlook in mobile devices to track email, however, unlike desktop version where we can track appointments, they could not have that feature in any mobile platforms. It would be great if Dynamics 365 App for Outlook can perform all the feature in every version of Outlook (Desktop/Tablets/Mobile).

Disallow double bookings in the scheduler API and schedule assistant
Suggested by Mike Thomas – New – 0 Comments
At present, if two people are dealing with booking resourses at the same time it is possible to double book a resourse as there is no check at the point of booking to make sure that the schedule assistants retrieved slot availability is still current. The same problem exists with the msdyn_CreateRequirementGroupBookings API, if you are exposing the ability to book a resourse to a group of people via the API then between getting availability (msdyn_SearchResourceAvailabilityForRequirementGroup) and booking it the data becomes stail and double+ bookings for the same resourse occures. This problem becomes unmanageable when its a large group of people booking a small amount of resourses.
I would like the "msdyn_CreateRequirementGroupBookings" API to pass back False in the returned HandlerExecuted value if the resourse requirements arn't met. I would also like the scheduler assistant to check availability at the point of booking.

Add support for new schedule board to Windows app client
Suggested by Pablo Degryse – New – 0 Comments
As communicated by Microsoft in the documentation: since October 1st 2024, the old schedule board is no longer support/working in Field Service This old schedule board control was supported on all clients:
- Web
- Mobile
- "Power apps" Windows app
After migrating to the new schedule board, we have received reports from our users that the schedule board no longer works in the Windows app. After creating a support ticket with Microsoft, it was confirmed that the new schedule board is no longer supported in the Windows app.
This is a clear gap in the product experience and we would like this to be supported because a lot of our users prefer using the Windows app over the browser.

Designer for Inspection Templates
Suggested by Andreas Mokhlis – New – 0 Comments
There is no way to modify the blank white inspection template. As we need to hand out to customer, its necessary that we can implement the company corporate design to the PDF !!!
