Dynamics 365 Field Service

We hope to receive more detailed information about future updates in the update notifications or emails. This would allow us to better prepare for the updates and help avoid potential issues that might arise from them.

Instead of booking a single appointment, allow scheduling a series of appointments with time range limitations between them (i.e. inspection must be between 5-10 days after the surgery). In order to book all appointments in the series at once the popup to select a time slot should be "wizard like" and show the list of appointments that await scheduling and then allow scheduling them one after the other, with logic to show the allowed time range for each appointment.

Field Service Scheduling Map must be improved. It should be more flexible to display the jobs on Map based on Work Order Types in different colors and Icons. Also, the Engineer and Job routes should be shown in different color or lines based on System Status. Time and Distance should be visible on map route based on current live geo location so that Planner/Dispatcher can lively track their Location on map and better plan the jobs.

There should be some option when someone click on Engineer or any particular Job on map and it should show all near by jobs.

Enable synchronization of work orders from the Field Service calendar to the Outlook calendar. This feature would help technicians and other field service personnel by providing a unified view of their schedules across platforms, reducing the risk of scheduling conflicts and improving planning efficiency.

Product should have some feature to show the Audit History on Seperate Tab or Section on the Form to make form more user friendly. Also It will even better if that Audit is shown in some more representable way with some icons, graphs or some more inputs. It will help Business to understand history of Assets linked to the customer in complete journey.

Currently when filtering the schedule board by skills, you must pick the rating value after. It pulls in all rating values that might not even be related to the characteristics' rating model.

My suggestion is the following:

1. If a characteristic is selected and that characteristic has a rating model, then only show rating values associated to the rating model.
2. If a characteristic is selected and that characteristic does not have a rating model, still show all rating values.

Can there be a way to identify dates a resource is scheduled via the calendar monthly view?

Expected behavior - when user looks at calendar monthly view, there is a visual identifier on the days they are scheduled. I.e. in the month of february, I am scheduled the 10th-15th, and the 29th. As a user, it would be beneficial instead of scrolling the agenda list to see from high level I am scheduled those dates.

The requirement panel in the schedule board does not support grouping, like OOB in Dynamics.

If your view filtering contains a 1:N relationship, it will show more lines of the same requirement.

Eg.

1 resource requirement > related to

1 workorder > related to

3> records of a custom entity

gives 3 lines in stead of 1 line expected and shown in the view.

Ability to manage and specify customized start and end ressources locations on specific dates instead of 'Resource Address' or 'Organizational Unit Address'. It will optimize ressource scheduling in many cases, for example when technicians sleep at the hotel.

After a previous update, we noticed a change in the behavior of the Schedule Board, where after the first assignment, subsequent allocations would use the default value instead of the Duration value, which led to two issues:

1. When a user wants to book multiple resources for an event, additional operations are required
2. Our previously deployed custom solution conflicts with the current behavior, resulting in a bug

Based on the above, we would like to be able to send a notice and explain the discrepancy before a modification is made to the product behavior so that we can pay attention to it in advance
