    Remove residual roles

Suggested by Neil Kelly New  1 Comments

Remove residual roles assigned in Power Platform/ Dyanamics following expiry of PIM.

I have raised a ticket with MS, it appears that the Power Platform Administrator PIM role in Azure also assigns the System administrator role in Dynamics/ Power Platform. This system administrator role deos not expire when the PIM role expires when it would be beneficial if it did

Add Unmanaged layer PER Command instead of over entire command/component library

Suggested by Sam Barrett New  0 Comments

Currently, the command editor allows for creating custom commands in a Model-Driven app (MDA). But, if that MDA and command/component library are passed within a solution to a separate target environment as managed, an unmanaged layer cannot be put overtop of the MDA and library in said target env without problems. If this is done, for say client-specific needs related to a command, then any future additions to the original MDA and library in the source environment and then again passed as managed, will not be honored for ALL commands in the target env. This is because a single unmanaged layer is placed over the entire library instead of per command. Multiple command libraries per app are also not supported at this time.

One of the two changes would be huge, as we now have to manually edit the same command in multiple environments, with the same formulas.

    Power Automate Pricing

Suggested by Kevin Ross New  0 Comments

I was instructed by Microsoft support to place my suggestion here

We've recently implement a Power Automate Flow into our business. Whilst we have been impressed with the product, the billing is extremely unimpressive. There appears to be no way to find out what each flow run costs, or what parts of the flow are charged at. There is just a sum total of the flow charges to date, no detailed billing. This makes it almost impossible to refine the flow to make it more efficient from a cost perspective.

We also had to guess which subscription we needed through trial and error. The fixed subscription cost is extremely vague in what credit's it includes, the ability to increase your credits on top of the fixed subscription is equally vague. I was instructed the pay as you go option needed to be implemented through an entirely different location than every other subscription.

My suggestion is Microsoft needs to drasctically address the complexity and vagueness of Power Automate pricing. It should be simple, transparent and the payment options available in the same area. Obtaining a subscription for power automate is so overly complex with multiple purchase options in different parts and no clear explanation on what it costs you to run a flow that the average user is left to just trial an error to work it out. It was easier to setup the flow in power automate than it was to work out which subscription we needed and to purchase. Microsoft must do a better job of simplifying the subscriptions around power automate, centralising them with all subscriptions and making it clear what the user is being charged for.

addCustomView function isn't working/being recognized for power apps grid

Suggested by Deepak Maheshwari (CRM) New  1 Comments

Issue - Customer is firing our addCustomView function https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/developer/model-driven-apps/clientapi/reference/controls/addcustomview on Power Apps grid control - Power Apps | Microsoft Learn which is in preview feature. It is failing to recognize this function however same code does work for regular grids. We don't see this issue listed in known issues/limitations hence reporting it. Current implementation retrieves the lookup query using the fetch below, but Power Apps Grid does not work. The issue is that on Power App Grid (Event OnRecordEvent), the lookup column is not being set up based on the fetch.

New table from external data fix

Suggested by Kevin Dooley New  0 Comments

The new 'New table from external data' feature is misleading. The info message says "Currently we support SharePoint and SQL Server. However, there is a workaround for other data sources"

We opened up case 2303070040009490 and this is the response we got:

"I received news from the product group. As you know the new functionality “New Table from External Data” is currently in preview, the product group has shared that currently is not possible to create a virtual table for on-premises SQL databases, so the error code that you are getting is expected by design for the platform."

What could this feature possibly be doing besides connecting to SQL databases???

    Usage statics of Power Apps

Suggested by Elvin Tan New  0 Comments

Retrieve usage stats of more than 28/30 days is not possible. For a service that charges by user licenses per month, it will help if such statistics is available easily as this can help with organisation cost distribution. Such reports seems to be quite fundamental and basic and yet it’s not available.

Put the Play button back in the Forms window

Suggested by Paul Caldwell New  0 Comments

In the Forms window under Tables there used to be a play button so after you saved and published a form you could quickly jump to see and test your form. It was removed and has made the quick viewing and testing or changes a much longer process. Please think of the developers and the development process when making changes to the development interface.

Allow Nick Name (Display Name) to be synced from AD to Dynamics 365 user record

Suggested by Jeffrey Hankin New  0 Comments

Many call center reps do not go by their given name. It would be nice if the Display Name (or Nick Name) in Active Directory could sync to the user record in Dynamics 365 so it could be used in templates and signatures.

Want to change the type of team that has already been created.

Suggested by Yuki Kishi New  0 Comments

We want to link a team that we have created in our environment to an AAD security group.

If I create a team now, I cannot change the team type later.

We would like to add a function that allows us to change the team type and link it to an AAD security group.

Editing saved queries/views before running them in modern advanced find

Suggested by Rhiannon Moore New  0 Comments

Modern advanced find requires users to run the query before being able to edit filters on a saved view, sometimes this can take a long time due to the amount of data, it would be good to be able to edit the filters without running the query first which was possible in the old advanced find.
