Allow users to add external URLs as tiles or links to a workspace for a company

As D365 is a core application used on a daily basis, some companies might want to embed links to other systems, documentation, portals, or process manuals that other users could refer to on a daily basis. For example, the purchase order preparation workspace could have a link to an external docu...

Line records with attachments need to have an indicator in grids

If a user has attached notes or documents to a sales order header or lines, purchase order header or lines there is no way for other users to see that there is something attached to those orders or order lines.

An attachments count (indicator) was added to forms recently. We have plans to add an indicator for lines records in grids as well, but it hasn't bubbled to the top of the backlog yet. It is great to see the demand for this idea.

Saving / remembering filters set by end user

It would be great if an end user could set a filter in a list which would be kept until it was changed or cleared.

By allowing to save queries/filters, the user could create different views for different tasks.

D365 Help Search functionality improvement

We have identified a serious issue with the help search in D365. When clicking the ? button in D365, and selecting Help, tabbing over to the Task guides, the search does not reveal expected results. If you type in "purchase orders" for example, many of the results, including the first two, do not...

Adding a splitter to the bottom of FastTabs with grids

We see in lots of situation that the "Details transaction" design pattern would be much more user friendly, if we may add a horizontal slider between the two sections of the form. Like what I've illustrated in the figure here: https://ibb.co/jTsbQv5 Is this something that might be considered b...

Block users from changing personalizations & workspaces (but keep whats been imported for them)

We want to be able to create a suite of peronsalizations and workspaces for a group of users but then prevent those users from making any further changes to those peronsalizations and workspaces. D365 currently does not appear to allow this functionality. When de-selecting 'Personlisation allo...

The ability to give users personalizations but not let them alter those personalizations is included in the (preview) Saved views feature. With views, users without personalization rights are able to access the views that have been given to them or published to them. Note that view support does not currently cover all forms; workspace support will be added in the future.

In reference to the comment below, the "Personalize this form" action is directly tied to a user's ability to personalize. If the user cannot personalize, they will not see that button. The Personalization page allows an administrator to control personalizations rights per user globally and per form.

Conditional formating in grids

It would be awesome to be able to create personalization on grids where you could for on field/column  or on an entire row do conditional formating based on field criteria.

A simple background color would be sufficient as a first edition.
