    Timeline display the regarding for notes & other related entities

    The ability to finer control the behavior of timeline activities and Notes is great, in particular the ability to display notes of a related record on a account this is a big improvement however when those activities or notes are shown they lack of context. (aka the regarding field)


    ex. If a note is created against a case, when displayed on an account it's actually impossible to understand that the note is created regarding the case.

    same case for related activities that are not related to either a contact, account, case or Opportunity the regarding info is not presented making difficult for user to understand the context

    Upload files by drag and drop to Dynamics

    Dynamics and SPO integration settings allow us to upload files from Dynamics to SPO.

    When uploading a file to Dynamics, the current design requires us to click the upload file button.

    If this could be uploaded by dragging and dropping the file, it would be very convenient.

    Quick Search record limit warning function

    Currently, when the Quick Search record limit is reached, the warning may not always be displayed.

    In addition, search results may not be returned normally without displaying a warning.

    If the customer's search criteria reach the Quick Search limit, for example, the following warning will improve convenience for the user.


    > Search results may not be displayed properly when the 10,000 limit is exceeded


    Please consider adding functions by all means.

    Restoration of the "Export Selected Records" feature in SharePoint document grid

    As of 1/12/2022, the SharePoint document grid in Dynamics 365 Online had an "Export Selected Records" feature.

    Thanks to this feature, only selected SharePoint document records could be exported.

    However, on 1/17/2022, this feature was hidden.

    So, if we want to export SharePoint document records from Dynamics 365 Online, the only way is to export all SharePoint document records in [Export Documents].

    We think this is a very inconvenient modification.


    By restoration of the "Export Selected Records" feature, customers can export any and all SharePoint documents from Dynamics 365 Online, which will improve the efficiency of their business.

    Gmail folder-level tracking

    Users can configure folder-level tracking for Outlook or Exchange. However, in case of Gmail, users can track only emails in inbox. Please add folder-level tracking for Gmail to track emails in subfolders as well.

    Display Field Description in the main-form (model-driven app) when using new UI (2024 Wave 2)

    We have been using FCBEditor (managed solution provided by Microsoft support team) to set FCB.FormFieldDescriptions to true so that 'field description' is displayed below 'field label' in the main forms.

    But after the new UI (released on PowerApp 2024 Wave 2) is enabled, 'field description' is not displayed in the main-form of entity in Model-driven app.

    The field description is used in our major systems that has with more than 1000 users. The field description is widely used by users as instant-guide and has been one of the important factors in adopting the system organisation-wide.


    Note:

    We raised this issue with Microsoft support and it's team managed to reproduce the issue in its vanilla environment. But they informed that the feature is retired with the new look UI.

    We are posting it in Microsoft Ideas as this site has been the most effective channel for influencing future product direction.

    In a model-driven app, you want to reflect the datetime filter in the virtual table view.

    I am currently getting the following error when using the date/time type filter in a virtual table view using SQLServer built on Azure IaaS in a model driven app.

    Cannot apply operator < to types Text and DateTimeZone.

    \r\n inner exception: Cannot apply operator < to type Text and DateTimeZone.


    The above seems to be the current expected behavior, but adding the ability to set date/time type filters would be a convenience to users.

    There is a problem that even if a plug-in is used to replace the filter, it is not reflected when exporting to Excel, etc. We would like to see the functionality improved and implemented as soon as possible.
