Ability for Sub-Grid Activity in Account form to show all related activities
Suggested by Jonathan Lee – Rejected – 13 Comments
Account is one unique entity that allows all related activities to be rolled up to the Account; however, current sub-grid activity in Account form for CRM 2011 only shows activities that were created in Account (regarding).
It would be great if this feature can be implemented in the next release so that customers can see all of their activities rolled up under Account. -
Notes in CRM2013 Online changes timestamps when record is reassigned - can this be changed?
Suggested by Thomas Pein-Lorenzen – Rejected – 12 Comments
Whenever we assign an Account to a different owner in CRM2013 Online, the timestamps for the notes change, to match the time the account was assigned and who assigned the account. Is it possible to change this, so the timestamp only shows, when the note was created? And show who originally created the note?
I see the logic in the way is works now. It updates to show when it was last changed and who changed it - but I would LOVE to change it, so it would show WHO created the note and WHEN it was created. Is this a thing you can change in the current iteration of CRM2013? -
CRM 2011 Connector Crashes Outlook All Day Long
Suggested by DANIEL DUFFY – Rejected – 8 Comments
Can't believe nobody's posted this yet. I just searched for the word 'crash' and found only two references to Outlook, with only 1 vote each. Maybe this is unique to our environment so if anyone has a suggestion, I'm all ears. But I haven't found one yet so I'm posting here.
We're running a combination of Office 2007/2010 on Windows 7 SP1 x64 systems. The Outlook clients all worked fine, with or without the CRM 4 clients. Then after upgrading to CRM 2011/RU5, we've had nothing but complaints from users who have their Outlook sessions crash at various times throughout the day, without any apparent pattern of usage to begin to isolate the problems.
All we get in the event logs are Outlook app crash errors, event ID 1000 - nothing specific. As soon as we remove the CRM client, no more crashing.
It's pretty important that this work without crashing the client all day - it's deterring users from wanting to use the product. -
Ability to select custom 'email enabled' entities for marketing list member types
Suggested by Robert BOYERS – Rejected – 13 Comments
Currently, marketing list members must either be contacts, accounts, or leads. With the introduction of email enabled custom entities, it makes sense to be able to utilise these email enabled entities when creating marketing lists.

Ability to default related Activities "Filter on" to All
Suggested by Craig Cross – Rejected – 1 Comments
I would like the option to default related Activities "Filter on" to ALL instead of NEXT 30 DAYS.
A related issue was closed as of 2010 with a note that it was going to be resolved in the next release. It has never been resolved.

Customize Entities in Set Regarding Lookup for App for Outlook
Suggested by aaronric@microsoft.com – Rejected – 0 Comments
Currently, the only way to prevent entities from appearing in the App for Outlook Set Regarding lookup is to remove them from the Entity Definition of the app itself. This prevents use of that entity in other areas such as the Sitemap. We should have separate configuration of the Regarding lookup from that of entities that may be used in the sitemap. -
Remove the "Wrapping up" message from Outlook client when syncing mail
Suggested by Matthew Johnson – Rejected – 5 Comments
Every time an item (email/appointment etc) is tracked within Outlook using the Outlook client for CRM 2015 a dialog with a progress bar pops up saying, "Contacting CRM", followed by "Wrapping up". This takes away focus from the Outlook window (and anything else you're doing) and nothing can be done until the messages go away. If you're tracking large emails or have a lot to track this can take some time. It has only been introduced with the 2015 version of the client and it needs to be taken away. The user should not be informed that a background track is happening. Why do they need to know? More to the point, why should it stop them doing anything else while it does it's thing.

Access to Activities Configurable by Security Role
Suggested by Scott Riddle – Rejected – 15 Comments
Occasionally, we get requests to remove certain Activities from the New button. Since all activities are under the 'Activity' umbrella it is no possible to remove Phone calls without removing all activities. To meet this requirement, it requires unsupported modifications to the Crm UI. If the individual activities were broken out by security role, we could just remove permission to the undesired activity without unsupported modifications.

Enable the E-mail Router to process e-mails sent to distribution lists or aliases
Suggested by PATRIK PALM – Rejected – 0 Comments
Currently e-mail messages sent to distribution lists or aliases are discarded by the E-mail Router with the warning "NoRecipientMatch" because the list or alias address is not known to CRM. We suggest implementing an additional setting on the Mailbox entity to specify whether the E-mail Router should skip/omit the recipient address check for this User/Queue and instead just copy the message into CRM. This would enable the E-mail Router to import all incoming messages to CRM regardless of the e-mail address(es) in the message (note that this also includes BCC messages!). This solution obviously does not work when using a Forward Mailbox with the E-mail Router, but it does enable more comprehensive incoming e-mail handling for critical mailboxes that are directly monitored by the E-mail Router.
For reference, there already exists an earlier, similar suggestion:
E-mail router should be able to handle E-mails sent via distribution lists

Allow to set Regarding to multiple Accounts, Contacts, Leads
Suggested by Allan N. – Rejected – 7 Comments
We'd like to be able to set the Regarding field to point to multiple clients and/or parties (e.g. attorneys,CPAs) for Appointments. This way it shows up in their record and we know that multiple parties were involved in this Appointment.
Otherwise we'd have to make required or optional parties, which doesn't work since that's more for internal scheduling purposes.
