Self-checkout
Suggested by Niklas Sandström – Completed – 12 Comments
The demand for self-checkout is increasing massively worldwide. Self-checkout provide a better customer experience and can provide a better efficiency in terms of shorter lines and a faster checkout, especially for supermarkets and grocery stores, but also for fashion retailers and others. With self-checkout store staff can manage more than one cash register at the time and by doing this provide a way for staff to spend more time helping customers out on the store floor. Dynamics 365 is supporting parts of the functionality and setup required to handle this but the POS has limitation in setup and customizability to support self-checkout scenarios. We wish for Microsoft to include a POS version designed for use in self-checkout scenarios with ability, including, but not limited to, scanning bar codes, manual input of items, weighing item, using coupons, and paying with various payment methods. For Microsoft to include a POS that is designed for self-checkout would provide an even bigger advantage for Dynamics 365 as opposed to what competitors are offering.

Display store's phone number on Show store location screen in POS
Suggested by Alan Batchelor – Completed – 1 Comments
Retail staff want to get visibility of a store's contact phone number within POS.
It seems like the logical place to do this would be on the location details screen, accessed from (e.g.) the Inventory lookup form by clicking on Show store location button.
Here we see a location map, store name, address, opening hours, virtually everything you'd want to know about the store, so this logically would be where the phone number should be displayed.
- a staff member has the customer standing in front of them
- they have no stock
- they've done an inventory lookup and found a store(s) with stock of the item
- they wish to call that store to confirm they really have the item
It seems odd to surface so much other information about the store, but not this.
Would seem fairly easy to display any contact information record of type Phone, that is Primary, from the Operating unit, with little or no CSU modification, and only having to enhance the POS screen.

New promotion type: Threshold item promotion
Suggested by Andrew Newnham – Completed – 6 Comments
There is a gap in the promotions engine which has been highlighted by several of my customers. They want to be able to create a threshold discount, which applies a discount to a specific item on the transaction. For example: Spend $100 Get Item X at 50% off. Or Spend $150 Get Item X Free Of Charge (100% off). At present you can only use mix and match promotions based on a quantity of items sold. Existing threshold discounting can only apply a $ or % value off of the entire basket, not a specific item We would need to be able to configure a threshold discount, (so triggered based on basket spend), to apply a discount to specific items in the basket, and be able to specify $ off, % off or deal price for one or more items. In order to trigger the promotion, the threshold will need to have been reached, and the item(s) being discounted must be added to the basket. Also the threshold should be met not including the item being discounted (i.e. for the Spend $150 get Item X Free of charge, if item X is $20, they will need to have spent $170, and the discount applied will be $20, to the specified item only). -
Support Adyen Pay-by-Link feature for Call Center and POS card-not-present scenarios
Suggested by Bryon Williams – Completed – 1 Comments
https://docs.adyen.com/checkout/pay-by-link To support scenarios where we would sell to a customer via an email or phone interaction, selling either out of Call Center or in some cases POS, we would like to be able to leverage the Adyen Pay-by-Link feature via direct integration from F&O. The idea being that we stage the order with payment to be make via payment link, F&O interacts with the Adyen API to generate the link, F&O emails the customer (via an email template), and when the customer completes the payment, the order is updated to show payments satisfied. (or something along those lines). -
Search for customer in POS
Suggested by tine Gryffroy – Completed – 1 Comments
When a cashier searches for a customer in POS, searching on customer name only gives to many hits. Therefore, often the street or the place of residence is asked as well as an extra criteria. At the moment, the two search criteria are used for an OR search, giving back all the customers with lastname X and/or all customers living in place of residence Y. The result is not limited enough. It would be a huge advantage if the criteria where searched for via AND, and returning only the customers who fulfill both the criteria -
Quantity Discount to apply to one or more products
Suggested by Annabel Barnett – Completed – 2 Comments
Quantity Discount should be able to handle: buy a given Quantity and get a %/value off from a Selected group of products (discount to be applied across products not just to one product line like it does out of the box currently) For example- buy 2 or more items from this range and get 20% off range consists of 5 item numbers.- a customer can buy 2 of one item or 1 unit each of 2 items and a flat 20% discount will be applied to the items. This is a standard retail promotion used by business and companies to support sale of complete product groups/brand ranges. -
Duplicate payments prevention for Adyen refunds
Suggested by Fredrik Persson – Completed – 0 Comments
Currently the Duplicate payments prevention system does not work for refund payments while using the Adyen connector in POS. It is a reasonable expectation that it works just like for normal sales transactions.

Suggested by Niklas Sandström – Completed – 2 Comments
Possibility to create mix and match discount with discount amount on a specific line.
Specific examples are:
- Buy item X and get Y SEK off one item in category Z.
- Buy from category X for Y SEK and get Z amount of a specific item.

Comment field in checkout
Suggested by Christina Brinch-Møller – Completed – 1 Comments
Hej,
We are planning to go live with the new B2B Commerce solution in Q3 2023.
As adressed before we urgently need a text field in the checkout, where our customers can leave a comment before finally placing an order. The comments our customers add to their orders today vary a lot and have different lengths so it should be possible to type at least 500 characters. The comments need to be highlightet somewhere in d365 backend for the customer service team once an order placed in the webshop arrives so the team can take action.
Going on with the Commerce solution the future solution should look like: if an order has a comment the order should be ‘stopped’ and not automatically create a load to get packed and shipped. This is a future scenario – I just want to mention it now so it can be thought in…
THank you
CHristina
