Allow custom actions on Booking right-click

Suggested by Alexander Heinze Under Review  3 Comments

In almost every implementation, custom actions to a booking become necessary. Having to open the booking and calling logic by clicking a button or running an ondemand workflow is quite cumbersome for a dispatcher. Suggestion: To achieve maximum flexibility, provide the ability to register custom workflow actions per entity type.

Allow to create a work order for a contact (not account)

Suggested by Jonas Wauters Under Review  17 Comments

Field Service today only supports creating Work Orders for a Service Account. It would be great to also support Contact (so we can support the B2C scenario).

    week number on schedule board

Suggested by Sara Lagerquist Under Review  6 Comments

Would like to be able to see the week number on the schedule board instead of the start date of the week.

Same dispaly of schedule board booking tooltips view for hourly, daily, monthly view

Suggested by Tomas Pitoczky Under Review  3 Comments

Booking Tooltips view is differently displayed (hover by mouse over reservation) within the schedule board hourly view setting vs daily and weekly views setting. The Idea is to allow to set up the same booking tooltips for hourly, daily, weekly scheduling calendar view.

Sync Bookable Resource Bookings with Outlook Calendar

Suggested by Zach Smallbone Under Review  11 Comments

Reinstate the syncing of resource bookings with the resource's Outlook calendar, a feature that was greatly missed when it was depreciated becuase at the moment to get an Outlook appointment we have to use a multitude of MS Flows, Workflows and JS to get an appointment record created against a booking and ensure that it is kept upto date with time changes. Sometime like this should be a basic out of the box feature for a resource scheduling system.

    Site calendar

Suggested by Alexander Heinze Under Review  8 Comments

When the service account is something like a store, it may be useful to track their opening hours in the same way as we have working hours for a resource.

The time window of a work order only works if opening hours are the same each day. However if the store is open Mo-Fr 8am-8pm, but on Saturday from 9am to 3pm, this workaround would not work.

Both schedule assistant and RSO would need to take the site calendar into consideration.

Allow different types of work hours, such as normal, overtime, travel-only, etc.

Suggested by Alexander Heinze Under Review  2 Comments

We often get requirements where bookings should not be stricly constrained by the working hours. For an emergency, it may be acceptable that the technician works longer. Or travel from/to the job might be possible or even required outside the working hours. It would be great if we could define different types of working hours ourselves. Example: "Working Hours" from 8am to 5pm, travel and work allowed. 7am to 8am "Travel Hours" only for travel, not for work. 5pm to 7pm "Extended Working Hours", available for travel and work, but at a higher cost. Ideally this would also be taken into consideration by RSO, which of course adds a lot of complexity.

    Multi-Region Business Closures

Suggested by Scott LeFante Under Review  2 Comments

Currently, when using the schedule board and setting up resources, you can select follow business closures. Those business closures are universal, regardless of region and the holidays (example: US has Thanksgiving Day, Canada has Boxing Day). It would be ideal to be able to utilize the following components: Holiday Schedule (under service management) Customer Service Schedule (under service management) On the Bookable Resource entity is a field called Calendar. This is where you can specify the customer service calendar created. The customer service calendar also includes the holiday schedule list. This would allow organizations to setup holidays by country / region, a schedule by country/region and then associate that to resources. When associated with a resource, the resources work hours would populate based on the holiday schedule / customer service schedule linked to it.

Give warning when booking a crew if underlying resources are not available

Suggested by Wouter Baten Under Review  1 Comments

When assigning a work order to a crew through the shedule board, the system will create bookable resource bookings for the bookable resource of the crew as well for the underlying resources connected to that crew in case those resources are available. However if those resources are not available, these bookings are not created (logically) but the user doesn't get any warning about this. because of this, the planner doesn't know if the order is now planned correctlly or not. How can we avoid this. Related to this question: in case you move the booking of the crew, to a moment that all linked resources are available, the system doesn't create the bookings for those resources in case those were not created from the beginning. How to solve this.

Connected Work Orders on schedule board

Suggested by Susan Thingsaker Under Review  3 Comments

When the Work Orders are booked for several different resources it would be very useful if all the connected work orders could "stand out" or be marked in a separate color if one of them were selected.

That way the scheduler could easily see which resources were booked for that particular work order.
