Dynamics 365 Project Operations

Develop a Hot Fix for Item requirements as when you transfer from WBS estimates more than one time, the items duplicate instead of update. Imagine that we updated the WBS two or three times, and each time we transfer from WBS estimates, you will have all the WBS history in the item requirements list which is misleading and does not allow the users to track the project item consumption.

Wish there is future option to include project item release to product information along with any eligible BOMs, (e.g. internal projects) for expenses future invested on an item, for purpose of project item future statistics, graphs, inquiries, reports, etc... Not featuring project item release to product information, for purpose to authorize launching purchases and/or sales, user might potentially not have enough or sufficient item history or background statistics (e.g. sampling, marketing, advertising, research and development, market studies, versions, prototype statistics, costings, etc...).

In AX2012 this was working correctly meaning it was possible to change the dates of a task without having automatically changed the dates of the other (successor) tasks. The scheduling error was shown, stating the discrepancies or time lags in the dates, but it was possible to decide whether to fix them or not. This is in line with the usually business process as you need to first check the availability of the resources for the other task, prior moving the dates. D365 automatically moves all dates which can cause resource overbookings or misalignment with the actual project progress. Feedback from engineering team is that the design of Dynamics 365 work in the following way: Setting predecessor and successor will have the successor to start date as predecessor finish date + 1. If you have predecessor and successor in D365 the dates will always be +1 and the gap cannot be much bigger. However, user would like to have the option as in AX2012: to be possible to change the dates of a task without having automatically changed the dates of the other (successor) tasks.

Wish there is a project funding remaining balance report (e.g. customer total credit line - vendor account credit lines - preferred project banking account fundings) including percentages. Not featuring a project funding remaining balance by accounts, user may not easily visualize funding status stages at any time, or easily compare against expectations.

Wish there is an option to easily visualize a project tasks WBS template, for purpose to easily copy a project WBS work breakdown structure to other project account, in addition to conventional WBS work breakdown structure. Featuring a master project WBS and WBS tasks maybe optimum, when potentially copying a master or project WBS or a sub-WBS template at time of copying wbs work breakdown structure to other projects. Example: Construction complex1, construction 1, or kitchen WBS.

It must be possible to change the project contract on a project. It is not possible to change the project contract on a project that has posted transactions. If an invoice has been posted on the project it is close for changing the project contract.

User should be able to login to D365 Project Operations from D365 F&O without opening the Ops browser in prior on any of the browsers [Chrome or Edge]. If the user accesses the D365 Finance and Operations browser without logging to the Project Ops, and clicks on Project Contract ID or Project ID, it will open the Ops screen without the Left pane modules visibility.
