To distinguish Non licenses user limits in Power platform request report

Suggested by Shilpa A New  0 Comments

Actual Behavior: When we download the Power platform request report, we could see a caller type 'System' , 'Non interactive user/Application ' users in the report which is causing issues with understanding that whether these users contribute to the tenant API limits.

Expected Behavior: The non- licensed user request limits could be presented separately in the report, which will make easy understanding of licensed user limits and non-licensed user limits.

    About the "Allocate Space" feature

Suggested by Narumi Haga New  0 Comments

Currently, the "allocate capacity" function allows you to manage the estimated capacity consumption within an environment, but it does not mean that the environment will always secure the capacity allocated to it, and the remaining capacity will be held at the tenant level as before. If this function is implemented, it will improve convenience for users.

Poland in Europa (Europe) Environment in Power Platform

Suggested by Tomasz Piwoński New  0 Comments

    Dear All,

I have installed On-premise Gateway on my local server choosing Poland as my region. I have been using it to send data to Power BI Services. That process worked well. However when I've tried to conect to my Gateway in Power Automate Online Environment, it was impossible, because Gateway located in Poland was not visible in Europa Environment in Power Platform, so I could not choose one. When I was testing West Europe (installing Gateawy in that region), it worked perfectly for Power Automate, but unfortunately, I could not connect to Power BI Services with such installation of Gateway, when my region was different than Poland.

    Please fix this issue.

    Kind regards,

    Tomasz

System customizer roles for Power Platform default environment - Data leak risk

Suggested by Jason Leong New  0 Comments

    Hi Microsoft,

Recently we working on an issue and encountered the following potential security risk and it is co-related with Project for the web.

Project for the web stored it's data in Dataverse table name "Project" in default environment.

when comes to Power Platform administration and permission, System customizer role by default gain access to ALL Dataverse tables, including "Project".

System Customizer will be required when :

    • Need to create custom table.

who will be potential users to assigned with System customizer:

    • Developer
    • External users who work on project.

This would means, when they are assigned with System Customizer role, automatically they will gain access to Project table and read all data.

Create a custom security role to limit the permission to "Project" table is an option, but only limited to person who aware of it. For those not aware, it is a data leak risk.

Can Microsoft re-evaluate system customizer permission?

Business rules are ignored at portals.

Suggested by Surumi Naushad New  1 Comments

Cx have added the forms on Power pages that are created from Microsoft Dataverse table, they need to use Business rules in order to show/hide and make the business required for some fields.

But not working in Power Pages. Customer and I tested business rules in Model-driven app and it worked but not in Power pages.

Business Rules are ignored on the Portals level. We need to use java script to make the logic work.

Kindly consider this functionality in future release.

Cannot search or filter images in the Power Pages Design Studio image component

Suggested by Paul Hettler New  0 Comments

The Image component in Design Studio allows users to choose an existing image from the website, and shows images by thumbnail, which is an improvement on the previous system.

However, all the images on the site are listed in one long block. While the user can select the page to upload images to using Advanced Tools, it does not allow filtering based on that parent page. Nor is it possible to search images by name or partial url.

We have sites with hundreds of images - please add a search filter that allows searching by name, partial url, and parent page.

No ability to upload files in Power Pages Design Studio

Suggested by Paul Hettler New  0 Comments

While the new image component in Design Studio allows for a simple upload process, there is no corresponding upload feature for any other file type eg PDF. Previously, in the Frontend editor, you could click on the ckeditor link button to add a file to the system. Sadly, this means the DS is less capable than your previous product.

Our users are often adding PDF files to download. Currently, there is no way to do this in Design Studio. Please address this. Perhaps the image uploader could be modified so it can handle both images and files?

Both the file selector and image selector should allow for search (by name or partialurl), or filtering by parent page. It is currently very hard to find the correct file in a site with hundreds of images/files. Please add a search filter to the image / file browser.

Option to select field to use for SharePoint integration folder structure

Suggested by Billy Ewton New  0 Comments

I recently encountered an issue with SharePoint integration on a Portal site where, after adding several new fields to a custom table, uploaded documents were being saved to a different folder in SharePoint than where they were originally being uploaded to. I have SharePoint integration configured to create the folder structure based on the Contact entity. The new fields I created in the custom table were lookup fields to the Contacts table. This resulted in each field creating a new one-to-many relationship with the Contacts table.

According to Microsoft, the logic that creates the folder structure in this scenario will create that folder structure based on the column with a one-to-many relationship with the Contacts table. Since I now had multiple columns that fit this description, the logic did not know which one I wanted to use so it uploaded documents to the root of my SharePoint document library instead.

I would like to request a feature that will allow us to select the one-to-many relationship to use for the folder structure in this scenario.
