Real Time Marketing - Journey - Allow More than 40 Characters in Journey Name Field
Please allow more than 40 characters in the Journey Name field in Real Time Marketing. Many of us using naming conventions that are much longer than this.
-
Real Time Marketing - SMS - Add Option to Use Entered URL and Not Trackable URL
The real time email editor allows us to select whether each link is trackable or not.
When we add a URL to a Real Time SMS, it automatically changes the URL that gets sent to a trackable URL - even if we have do not track in the compliance center and send to numbers who have opted out of tracking.
We need a way to send our original URL so that it does not change or update to a different URL. We want our own domain/URL to show in the SMS.
-
Real Time Marketing - Behavior - Contact Timeline & Marketing Interactions
Many customers have created custom D365 forms to display Contact information and/or have removed the Timeline from the original Contact form. Our understanding is that the only way to see Marketing interactions on the Contact timeline is to use the original Contact form.
We would like an easier way to add or add back the timeline with marketing interactions to a Contact form and not have to use the original Contact form.
-
Real Time Marketing - SMS - Add Dynamic List Feature
Please add the ability to create and display dynamic, filtered lists to SMS like we can do for email in Real Time Marketing.
For example - I want to send an SMS that lists the new events available for participation. Those events will each have a link to sign up.
-
Real Time Marketing - SMS - Add Conditional Content Feature
Please add the ability for conditional content to an SMS message like we can do for emails.
For example, if preferred language is Spanish, send the message displaying Spanish vs. English - instead of creating and maintaining 2 different SMS messages and using a branch in the Journey to send.
-
Real Time Marketing - SMS - Add Inline Condition Feature
Please add the ability to create and use inline conditional content in SMS messages like we can do in email.
For example, if the condition is met - a specific word or phrase in the SMS is replaced with correct version needed.
-
Real Time - Journey/CJO - Bring Back Ability to Schedule the Days & Times an Email Can be Sent
We have several clients asking to specify what day and times of the week an email should be sent. Here are some use cases:
- Send an email 90 days after a new Contact is created, but only send that email on M/T/W/Th/F between 9am-5pm CT (avoid weekends or crazy times of the day)
-
Real Time - Journey/CJO - Bring Back AI to Send Communication at Best Time
Please bring back the AI that will send a communication during the best day/time for that contact.
-
Marketing Security Roles - Naming & Description (Not Documentation)
Keeping documentation up to date is very difficult for Security Roles.
Would it be a lighter ask to simply use a naming convention for the Marketing Security Roles and Descriptions within the system?
For example:
Mkt: Admin - Gives user access to create, update, and delete any Marketing asset regardless of owner.
Mkt: Base - Required for any user to access the Marketing application in D365
Mkt: SYS Lead Gen User....
Mkt: RT Library -
Mkt: OB Forms -
nothing = applicable to both RT & OB.
SYS = System User, not applicable to End User,
RT = Real Time specific, not applicable to outbound;
OB - Outbound specific, not applicable to Realtime,

Real Time Marketing - Provide Engagement Scoring instead of Lead Scoring
- Engagement Scoring - 90% of our clients do not use Leads at all so when I introduce the concept of Lead Scoring it causes a lot of confusion and concern. When you re-invent lead scoring for D365 Marketing > Real Time Marketing, please make it more general like "Engagement Scoring" and allow us to score Contacts, Leads, and/or Accounts. Today we can only score Leads and those Leads must be connected to a Parent Contact. Most clients do not use the Lead entity and even the clients that do - do not always have Leads connected to Contacts (even if they should)
- Increase Accessibility - To encourage clients to use Engagement Scoring - make it more accessible from each asset. For example - in the Email Designer - add an icon for Scoring that allows me to pick a scoring model, email behavior and score. When published - the scoring model selected would update to include the score I entered for the behavior I entered. If the Scoring model was already published - it would add my change & re-publish. If the Scoring model was in Draft - it would add my change and stay in draft.
- Scoring Options - Add Activities to Behavior & Data - Engagment Scoring would allow us to create scoring models to present on Contact, Lead, and/or Account records. We would have the ability to score on data and/or behavior just like today. In addition to data & behavior - we would like the ability to add or decrease scores through activities like tasks, appointments and phone calls. How, might you ask? I can think of 2 options. Option 1: When an activity references the Contact, Lead or Account - we get to add or remove points based on the activity type and if it was within a certain date range. Option 2: The activity form has an Engagement Score field where a staff member can select a Scoring Model and enter a positive or negative number of points. The points apply to the Contact, Lead, or Account referenced on the activity.
- Hide/Show Scoring Models - Today we have clients who do not use Lead Scoring because it automatically appears on the OOB Contact form. Rather than ask their Admin to help hide/show this information to the proper users - they just avoid it. So it would be great if in D365 Marketing > Settings there was a way to pick and choose what marketing data shows on the OOB Contact form (or all forms). If you can't do it at a form level, perhaps just all us to pick what scoring models show or hide. This would help us get more clients to use the feature.
I thought I submitted this idea before but I cannot find it - so apologies if this is already in the list.
