Option to Specify Product Weight Based on Entry Method
Suggested by Alonso Bravo – New – 0 Comments
It would be beneficial to introduce an option that allows the system to intelligently distinguish between manual entry and barcode scanning, and respond accordingly:
- When the item is entered manually (ItemID):
- The system could display a screen that enables the user to manually input the product’s weight.
- When the item is scanned using a barcode that includes embedded weight information:
- The system could:
- Automatically extract and apply the weight from the barcode.
- Skip any manual weight entry or confirmation prompts.
- Prevent the user from modifying the quantity, thereby preserving the integrity of the scanned data.
This enhancement would streamline operations, reduce the likelihood of manual entry errors, and ensure consistency in how product weights are handled across different entry methods.

Manufacturer Coupon Support Needed
Suggested by Jen Shanahan – New – 1 Comments
It is highly desired and seems to be standard POS functionality to be able to handle processing Manufacturer coupons by simply scanning the coupon barcode and having the discount identified.
The GS-1 barcode format should be able to be parsed at the register level. Secondary to this the headquarters should have the capability to easily import vendor provided coupon details into the system so that they match the barcode specifications. So a simple discount of $2.00 off should be able to be imported and tied to the proper MFR coupon UPC.
It's not feasible to use system generated coupon UPCs in place of MFR issued barcodes or to manually create discounts for every MFR issued coupon when the UPC cannot be parsed by the POS.

Managing Discounts
Suggested by Doreen Lopez – New – 0 Comments
I'd love to see some enhancements to the "All Discounts" area. Filtering is probably the biggest area that would be helpful if that was upgraded a bit. Currently, there is no way to "save" your filter settings, so you have to re-set them every time you go in. Other areas in D365 give us the ability to save things for different views, it would be great if that could be incorporated here.
The second enhancement I'd love to see is for a way to archive older, deactivated discounts. I understand these cannot be deleted because they're tied to financial transactions, but if we could archive them so they don't show up on our list of discounts, that could be extremely helpful in cutting down the list that we have to scroll through.
Thanks!

Add support to import initial balance for loyalty points
Suggested by Daniel Delgado Candia – New – 0 Comments
I would like to suggest that initial loyalty balances can be imported into the system without customization, right now the initial balances can't be imported directly into the system, they are in the posted status but not being reflected in the loyalty adjustments, for now creating a custom entity seems to be the most viable solution.

Add ChannelId as placeholder in the email templates
Suggested by Jon Crespo – New – 0 Comments
In the Microsoft documentation ChannelId is shown as placeholder in the email templates, but it is not. Microsoft said that it is an error in the documentation.
It should be a good idea to include this placeholder in the templates.

Extend Info codes to Call centre order functionality
Suggested by Sneha Shahare – New – 0 Comments
We know how important and widely the infocode functionality is used in Commerce (POS).
But there's not much we can use wrt infocodes in the sales order creation via call centres in D365, example product level infocodes.
One of the scenarios is for Alcohol and Spirits products, where it's mandate to ask customers to confirm they are above age 18.
For this we have setup product level infocode and when these products are scanned in POS, it pops-up infocode for cashiers to ask customers to confirm if they above age 18.
But, there's nothing similar when orders are created over phone via call centre channels to remind agents to ask and confirm from customers about the Age 18 prompt on specific products.
It would be lovely if we can extend the product level infocodes to D365 call centre order functionality,

Return label receipt aggregation in one single receipt.
Suggested by Abdelrahman Mahmoud – New – 0 Comments
In current design, the system does not support aggregating products in one single return label, so if you are printing return label for one line with 3 quantities, it will print 3 return receipt labels.
It would be great to have a feature in the future to support aggregating products in one single return label receipt when printing from POS.

Add new Gift card / enable gift card refund to Sales Order
Suggested by Vishnuraj Mankude – New – 0 Comments
Currently if you are fulfilling/returning a sales order, you are unable to add a gift card and refund the amount of the sales order. For cash and carry transactions you can add a gift card to the return transactions and can book the refund on the Gift card. The same cannot be done for sales order during the return. You either need to issue a gift card which you can only with min 0,01 cent which again creates a difference in the till. Then you can use the gift card payment method to refund this. There should be a possibility to do a refund by issuing a new gift card also during the return sales order process.

Discount start and end time
Suggested by Andreas Ström – New – 0 Comments
A common scenario for e-coms and retailers is to start and/or end a campaign at a specific time, e.g. "Buy product X at 50% discount as long as there are stock available".
D365 Commerce supports configuration of "Effective date" and "Exparation date", but nothing defining a particular start and/or end time. There is a the concept of "Date validation period", but that does not meet the requirement.
Idea:
- Implement the possibility to define "Start time" together with "Effective date"
- Implement the possibility to define "End time" together with "Expiration date"

Retail sales order lines created via online stores for Product variants should show the product variant name
Suggested by Parvathy Vadavarkote Mana Jathavedan – New – 0 Comments
Sales orders raised via online stores have the SalesLine Text field populated with the Product master description rather than the variant product description. The user should see the variant product description to identify different product variants involved in the transaction.
