• Browsing categories/products view need UX improvements

We get a lot of feedback from different customers that the function to browse products through tiles/cards is unclear and needs improvements to provide a good UX. Where? Menu option "Products", in between "Home" and "Categories", in the left menu navigation, in POS. Issues? 1. The user is presented with both the top node category and the sub-node categories in the same view. It is very confusing to the user as this hierarchy is displayed in the POS. 2. When clicking a category the users expect to se the sub-nodes of the category clicked. Instead all products from all sub-node categories are shown. This is very confusing to the user and the amount of products displayed is overwhelming Suggestions? 1. User should browse the categories by default. 2. First display all top node categories. When user clicks a category, then display the sub-node categories. When there are no more sub-node categories to browse, then display the products in that category. 3. Include bread crumbs at the top to help the user understand where in the structure they are navigating. Also make the bread crumb clickable links to easily jump backwards in the hierarchy.
  • Discount start and end time

A common scenario for e-coms and retailers is to start and/or end a campaign at a specific time, e.g. "Buy product X at 50% discount as long as there are stock available".

D365 Commerce supports configuration of "Effective date" and "Exparation date", but nothing defining a particular start and/or end time. There is a the concept of "Date validation period", but that does not meet the requirement.

    Idea:

    1. Implement the possibility to define "Start time" together with "Effective date"
    2. Implement the possibility to define "End time" together with "Expiration date"
  • Ability to configure columns in the customer detailed view, in Store Commerce

A common requirement among D365 Commerce customers is to alter the customer view to there need. Rarely all functionalities are used which leads to empty data in the column. There is currently no option to hide or configure the column display order which means that the user needs to scroll to the right to catch relevant information, or worse case might miss it.

    Requirements:

    1. Possible to hide columns
    2. Possible to set the display order of the columns
