Improvement of the prepayment customer invoice feature
Suggested by Lennart Kluge – New – 0 Comments
The prepayment customer invoice feature should be improved by the following points:
- a parameter to predefine the posting profile for the posting of the payment from the customer
- a Workflow to automatically inform the responsible salesperson and delete active order holds after payment receipt
- after a partial invoice of the sales order, it should be possible to see the remaining amount as open on the customer transactions
- it should be possible to reverse the advance invoice (remaining amount) after a partial invoice

Duplicate Invoice Check
Suggested by Anna Davies – New – 0 Comments
Currently Invoice Capture does not check for duplicate supplier invoice numbers. A duplicate invoice number check is only performed once the invoice is transferred into D365 F&O, this is too late in the process.
The new requirement is for a duplicate supplier invoice check to be included as part of Invoice Capture.
The validation logic should consider Vendor + Invoice Number + Legal entity to ensure the vendor invoice has not been duplicated in a single legal entity or across multiple legal entities.

Service Declarations F01DGS Report in D365 Finance and Operations
Suggested by Anastassia Fetissova – New – 0 Comments
The report "Service Declarations F01DGS" is currently unavailable in D365 Finance and Operations. However, it is essential for compliance with Belgian legal requirements. While this report is already available in Business Central, our customers have expressed a strong need for the report in D365 Finance and Operations to ensure seamless operations and adhere to local regulations.

default dimension inheritance does execute on Unattached expenses in Employee Self Service workspace
Suggested by PaweÅ‚ Imbir – New – 0 Comments
When employee opens "Unattached expenses" function from "Employee self service" and adds some expense lines to her/his expense report than default dimension inheritance is not being executed.
Adding or removing Project ID to expense line does not have any impact on financial dimension values on this expense line (despite of correct rules/conditions being present in "default dimension inheritance" functionality).
As the result, expense lines processed with the use on "Employee self service" workspace have inaccurate financial dimension values in accounting distribution.
This problem does not occur if expense lines are processed in Expense Management module.
I suggest that execution rules for "default dimension inheritance" should be reviewed for Employee self service/Unattached expenses, so system inherits/recalculates financial dimension values whenever any change is made to Project ID on expense line. This would bring that functionality in line with how it works in Expense Management module and improve posting accuracy.
Described issue was experienced and persists in D365 Finance & Operation version 10.0.41 (10.0.2015.78).

Validate if the view has been succesfully pushed to all users
Suggested by Kelsey Verdickt – New – 2 Comments
When pushing a personalized/published view or workspace to (multiple) users, it is not clear if the view/workspace has been succesfully pushed to all users. In the past we have noticed that sometimes views are not pushed correctly to all the users, but only to some users. A validation would be more sufficient to follow up on this.

Remove/Disable unused batch "Maximum Batch Threads" per AOS setting
Suggested by Chris Dragon – New – 0 Comments
The parameter named "Maximum Batch Threads" on the "SysServerConfig" auto defaults to 16 ever night even if you change it. This is due to batch auto scaling (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/sysadmin/batch-capacity#batch-auto-scaling). Considering it can't be effectively changed by users. This should be either removed or disabled.

Global Electronic Invoice (E-Invoice) for purchase received invoices
Suggested by Joan Bonilla – New – 0 Comments
In many European countries, the usage of the electronic invoice feature has become mandatory for big and middle size companies in 2024, and in the short term it will be for small sized companies as well.
Hence, not only a solution to issue sales and project electronic invoices are needed (as the standard already covers) but also a functionality where the AP clerk team may manage the electronic invoices received from their vendors.
It will be really handful as well to be able to import, validate, manage and post the post those E-invoices within the vendor invoice process automation functionality that already exists, similar to the Invoice Capture + Vendor Invoice Automation functionality.

Allow deletion of default financial reports
Suggested by Julie Sieger2 – New – 0 Comments
For large companies - Financial reports are often locked down by the reporting tree to limit the viewing or generating of certain reports to groups of people.
The default financial reports do not have trees to lock them down and may allow people to see data they should not have access to if they are generated since they are using the main account categories setup in the system.
This is a security issue and should be resolved immediately. Right now if you delete the default reports, they come right back after a service restart.

New created by field to D365 forms that show the user id who have created the record
Suggested by Simo Metso – New – 0 Comments
There is possibility in many forms to add field called created by to list view so that user can check who have actually created the record. For example in All customers form you can add created by field based on tables Global address book, People, Worker and Person name. Created by field from Global address book (DirPartyTable) shows in most of the cases the correct user id who have for example created the new customer but not always. That's why new created by field is needed at least for All customers and All vendors forms. New created by field should fetch correct user id from table location that shows the user id who have created the new record. In All customers form the correct id could be retrieved from CustTable and in All vendors form VendTable shows correct user id in created by field.

Provide drill-back to Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations
Suggested by Chin Hung Yang – New – 0 Comments
Provide the ability to drill-back to the transaction in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations. As an example, I would like to be able to open the journal or voucher in Dynamics 365 FNO while I am analyzing a transaction in BPA. This feature needs to be available in both Power BI or Excel. Ideally, this would also be added to future data models for other workstreams.
