Hours View limit of 24 hours is too restrictive

Suggested by Ian Podmore New  6 Comments

The new Hours scale of maximum of 24 hours is too restrictive.

Most users are using the Hours view due to the detail shown on Bookings but they can view around 7 days on screen at any one time and see a proper overview of planned work in the next week.

The Booking detail shown on the Day, or Week View is not sufficient for users to work effectively.

Either the Booking detail on the Days view needs to use the one from the Hours board that is customised (we use 3 rows of data) or the number of hours that can be shown on the Hours view needs to be extended to perhaps 72 hours.

Our technicians typically do one Booking per day as each one takes 8 hours or so, 2 at most per day, sometimes with one Work Order lasting a week with 5 Bookings.

We want to use booking rules on the Quick Create form of the Bookable Resource Booking.

Apparently this is not supported at the moment.

If a security role is assigned using the Dataverse owner team, the model-driven app will not be displayed on the user's Field Service Mobile app.

Suggested by Fumiya Sumitani New  0 Comments

If security roles are assigned using a Dataverse owner team, the model-driven app will not appear on the user's Field Service Mobile app. According to https://learn.microsoft.com/ja-jp/power-apps/mobile/run-powerapps-on-mobile#find-the-app, this behavior is currently specified as intended. However, it causes inconvenience in operational processes, so we would like the specification to be changed so that the app appears on the Field Service Mobile app even when an owner team is used.

Duration - Display in Hours, not in days or minutes

Suggested by Carl Robert William Johansson New  2 Comments

When we plan a job/service or similar we have contract/agreements/estimations (or similar) where we state the work needed in Hours to perform this job.

To have duration display as e.g.3,75 days is utterly confusing, someone looking at that would think this job would take almost 4 days, but if you consider that the number behind here is 90 Hours the actual job will take about 7-12 days (depending if you work 8 or 12 hours per day)

We are using the duration fields on service tasks and on work order

    msdyn_totalestimatedduration and msdyn_estimatedduration

Kindly make these display fields system or user configurable so we can set these fields to only display hours

Found this similar Idea but here they focus on bill duration.

Suggested by Ellen Lawrence New  21 Comments

Customer would like the option to show/hide the utilization bar on the schedule board on the Daily, Weekly, and Monthly views. Note that it is the utilization bar that is shown above the bookings.

Make the scheduling board better for crew management

Suggested by Margot Behaeghe New  0 Comments

A lot of our customers work with flexible crews. Due to this:

    • The composition of the crews will change on a daily based depending on who when arrives to the office or who is available at that time or other reasons. Requirements will be first scheduled and after that the crews are composed.
    • Next to that crews will work on different regions on a daily base. It could be that crew 1 works on Monday for territory 1, on Tuesday on territory 2, etc. This means when I filter on Territory 1 that only Monday should be available and that Tuesday and Wednesday etc should be greyed out.

Consequence of these flexible crews are:

    1. There should be in the schedule board a better overview of the crew composition with this I mean:
    • It should be visible in one overview in the schedule board who (crew member) is assigned to which crew this on a daily base
    • Next to that it should be possible to see on a daily base on the schedule board if the right number of workers are assigned to the crew or not, if not enough crew members are assigned to the crew the crew should be presented in red or with a specific icon just like salesforce has: https://salesforceenthusiast.com/Content/webinars/service_crews.pdf

    2. Next to that for crews that work on a rotating region base (see example given above) it should be possible to have an extra calendar per resource where the crew availability is presented per territory. This way when filtering on the schedule board by defining the territory, the availability should look at the resource calendar and the extra calendar where it is defined when this crew works for which territory. This way it is possible to see when filtering on the territory we can see if the crew works for that territory or not this in one look.

Booking Status Filtering is needed on scheduler board

Suggested by Raghav Mishra New  1 Comments

Booking Status Filtering on the scheduler board. Currently, filtering is only provided for resources, but we also need filtering for bookings. I have added Booking Status filtering at the resource level. Please check the attached screenshot. However, this only filters the resources and not the bookings.

Open schedule board on specified tab

Suggested by Wouter Van der Meeren New  0 Comments

For the old schedule board there was the possibility to open it on a tab which was specified in the url.

    [environment url]/webresources/msdyn_/fps/ScheduleBoard/scheduleboard.html?#tab=[guid of the tab]

The same does not seem to work for the new schedule board. When changing the webresource in the above url to that of the new schedule board, you get the following message: "Cannot create ClientServiceApi. 'Xrm' was not available on the current window."

We have both field service and D365 F&O and our client would like be able to open the appropriate schedule board in FS from a service order in F&O.

Dynamics 365 Field Service – Resource Scheduling (Schedule Board) where users often switch between daily, weekly, and monthly views.

Suggested by Sushma Patole New  1 Comments

Allow custom templates for Weekly, Daily, or Monthly booking views so users can configure what information and columns are displayed per view mode instead of only supporting for hourly view.

Foresee a hyperlink of the case ID in the open requirementstab on the schedule board that opens the detail page of the case in F&O

Suggested by Margot Behaeghe New  0 Comments

Currently it is possible to configure the field "case id" on the work order form in field services in a way that it is a hyperlink which opens the detail page of the case in F&O. This I have done by adding a controle. This is handy because it should be easy to navigate from CE to F&O and the other way around. What we now also need is that the same should also be possible on a view. This because it is not wanted to always first open the work order form via which you can navigate to the hyperlink. We would namely like to add the hyperlink of the case ID in the open requirements view on the schedule board. This way another tab opens which show the information of the case in F&O.
