Expiration of Quality Association also on Qty

Suggested by Otto Buurman New  2 Comments

To be able to switch off the need for Quality Control on Item / Supplier combination after x sampled pieces, there should be some kind of expiration quantity on the Quality Association which makes it possible to set up Quality Control for the first x received pieces. So expiration of the association not only on date, but also on qty tested.

Transit warehouse is always taken from the “from warehouse” in a transfer order, it is better to be taken from "To Warehouse"

Suggested by Ahmed Salah New  0 Comments

Transit warehouse is always taken from the “from warehouse” in a transfer order, it is better to be taken from "To Warehouse" so in case of you are having a main warehouse transferring to Braches warehouses and you need to know where the stocks are in transit, this is not possible if transit is taken from "to warehouse"

Suggested by Rajasekha Pramidala New  1 Comments

we would like to request function which allows to stop allocation (reservation) from specific locations.

Business need: user moves some items to repack location to repack the items, but system consider whole system for reservation, its reserve the inventory from repack location too. so we want the option on locations to stop allocations for sales order, we know already option available to block the outbound and inbound blocking, with these process completely the inventory blocked for the locations.

we just need option to stop allocation (reservation for sales orders) from locations.

Add reference type "Transfer" to the quality management functionality

Suggested by Ryan Lichtefeld New  0 Comments

Overview: Adding a reference type of "Transfer" to the quality associations form will allow quality orders to be automatically generated at time of transfer order registration / product receipt. There is no current functionality to automate the quality order generation process at transfer order receipt.

    Use Case: Subcontracting

Manufacturers that are live on D365 F&O ("D365 client" hereforward) commonly rely on other businesses ("OSP vendors" hereforward) to complete specific processes. The D365 client commonly will maintain ownership of the material that is sent and processed by the OSP vendor. This inventory movement is completed through the use of transfer orders, as OSP vendors will have specified sites/warehouses configured in the D365 client's environment for material tracing. After the OSP vendor has shipped the processed material back to the D365 client, there are no quality orders posed against the received material without manual intervention. Adding a "transfer" reference type will prove for automated QO generation for the newly processed material.

    Use Case: Third party carriers

Businesses that leverage third party carriers for intracompany shipping place great trust in the carriers. Adding a "transfer" reference type to quality associations in D365 could ensure the transferred material be inspected upon transfer receipt.

Ability to see potential cost variances prior to ending production order - Add WIP Value to Production order list page for sorting/Filtering orders to end

Suggested by John Conwell New  8 Comments

The WIP balance on production orders, that have been reported as finished, will end up being the total amount of the variances that will be booked when the production order is ended. Ideally a user would see this amount prior to ending the production orders so that any needed corrections could be done prior to ending. The business case would be a user has a filtered view of all production orders in reported as finished status: and prior to ending them could sort by the WIP value in descending order to see which production orders need research. It is simply not feasible to pull up each production order and select the WIP valuation individually. In a standard cost situation, reporting a finished quantity will book inventory at standard and remove WIP at that same amount. So, any value remaining in WIP prior to ending the production order will end up being booked as variance. Seeing this amount ahead of time can point out errors in reporting, bad standards etc.

    Inventory turnover

Suggested by Syed Ismail New  1 Comments

In d365 I have to print inventory turnover.

This implies I have to consider quantities in status sold, but avoiding for example transfer from a location to another.

I have seen there is a report in Russian localization

    Why is it only there?

We need the Inventory turnover feature for other regions as well.

    Cost Explorer

Suggested by Billur Şamdancıoğlu New  0 Comments

There is this functionality called cost explorer.

It would be good to have a functionality or a report with parameters to be able to report a cost in this detail per item, item dimensions and date interval (or monthly).
