Partner would like to filter the data of BC based on the userid which is linked to the salesperson code; exactly as the example in the MS doc (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/security/security-filters).
They can specify a specific salesperson code, but they would like that the userid (logged user) changes automatically in the filter with that salesperson code.
Back-end team already confirmed that this is by design: There is no support for specifying security filters using placeholders / filter tokens like %me or %userid, so a permission set needs to be created for each user with the correct security filtering explicitly defined.

This idea will simplify the permission setup for all the customers who ask it... and they are a lot!

This would be extremely useful! We're looking to set up default filters that would reduce a list in the CRM element of BC based on salesperson ID and it is a pain setting this up for each user.
