Go to item list and create a new item using retail template (70075)
-Service Item Group = “Desktop” as it is set with create service item = yes
-Item Tracking Code = SNALL

2- Go to item journal and create a new line
-Type Purchase; Item 70075; Location BLUE; Quantity 10;

3- Select Item Tracking Lines
-Select Create Customized SN
--Customized SN = SN000001
--Increment = 1
--Quantity to create= 10
--OK
-OK to close Item Tracking lines page.
-Post Item journal
4- Go to Service Order and create a new
-Customer 10000,
-Line; Item 70075
-Select Order > Services Line.
5- At service line level,
-Item 70075; Location BLUE, Quantity 2;
-Select Item Tracking Line.
--Drill down in Serial No. field and select an available serial no.
-Ok to close Item Tracking lines

6- At service line level, post the line as “shipped”
7- Refresh the page, no service item no. created

8 – go to Service Item list and look for Service item with Item No.= 70075 if it has been automatically created, we cannot find it.

ACTUAL RESULT:
In step 6, a shipment of item is posted and there is no Service item created automatically as demonstrated in step 7 and 8.

EXPECTED RESULT:
Service item shall be automatically created when posting shipment of service order as when posting shipment from Sales order
