Ability to classify attributes for various retail entities
Today, on attributes page - one can define an attribute for Products, Order, Channel, Customer & more. But when associating these attributes with appropriate entity, one has to skim through an entire pool of attributes. Wouldn't it be great to have the tag or kind of attribute defined when defining an attribute? Like some enum - as there are only so many entities for which an attribute can be defined. -
Ability to provide a custom sort order for attributes and not just do default alphabetic sort
Ability to provide a custom sort order for attributes and not just do default alphabetic sort [A-z]. And respect the sort order across all retail entities like Product, Channel, Order etc. -
Add description field to individual dimension values of colors, sizes & styles
Currently, one can assign descriptions to colors/sizes/styles when in context of a product master or a variant group and not individually in Dynamics. But having an ability to always have a default description associated with individual dimension values outside the context of either a product master or a variant group will be helpful - especially when importing data into Dynamics from another systems where there's already an associated description with individual dimension values. -
Ability to sort the categories in the navigation category
Ability to be able to sort the categories in the navigation category. Currently, by default - only sort order is Alphabetical. There may be strong desire for the Retail business to boost a particular category over other irrespective of the alphabetic sort order. E.g. in Demo data for Fabrikam store we have got following order - 1. Fashion accessories, 2. Menswear & 3. Womenswear. But what if - Retail business want to reverse that order for their business - 1. Womenswear, 2. Menswear & 3. Fashion accessories. -
Ability to sort the order of the products when browsing products via category browsing using navigation hierarchy
Currently, when browsing products via category browsing using navigation hierarchy - Dynamics solution tends to sort the product listings for that category by the Product Number (that too, only ascending order). Instead, provide Retailer's Merchandising manager ability to decide & control the sort order of products when browsing products via navigation hierarchy. e.g. Under Menswear > Jackets - Retailer may have desire to show the "New arrivals" at the top & not have the "New arrivals" be lost due to product number being highest.
-
Ability to identify featured products for each category when browsing via navigation hierarchy
Currently, when a cashier browses product via category browsing using navigation hierarchy - Dynamics solution tends to provide straight list of all products in the category. In addition to it, provide Retailers an opportunity to exclusively mark subset of products in the category as "Featured products" and surface them as "Featured" product listings under each category with an ability to control the sort order of the products for the "Featured products" collections. -
Add support for defining attributes at a product variant level
Currently, Dynamics solution allows to define attribute values at a product master level & these attribute values are inherited by the variants, by default. And there's no provisioning/mechanism for a Merchandising manager to override the attributes values for an individual variant that were by default inherited from the product master.
