POS fails to alert user if a barcode is not found during scanning

Suggested by Gaute Esko Biørn Rejected  0 Comments

This applies to POS with wedge scanners, not OPOS. The dialogue that appears when a barcode is not found during scanning is not visible enough. "The product associated with the bar code was not found. Please search for the product from the product search page." This occupies only a small fragment of the screen, like all other dialogues. This is a problem because, if you don’t keep our eyes on the screen at all time you can scan a lot of items before you are aware of the situation, that one or more barcodes was not recognized. If the dialogue filled the screen, and even better, in a bright colour, it would be easier to detect. Even better if an error sound could be played.

Create project sales orders in POS

Suggested by Gaute Esko Biørn Rejected  0 Comments

For a more complete OMNI experience the POS and the HQ should be quite similar in user- and customer experience. Ref. https://experience.dynamics.com/ideas/idea/?ideaid=54d71e95-6298-eb11-89ee-0003ff45d48e. At least in our business there is an extensive use of projects where our customers relate their external projects to our sales orders. This is fine in HQ but not in POS. Therefore, it should be possible to relate a POS transaction to a project and a project sales order is created by the transactional statement or by the create sales order/ create quotation, operation.

Mode of Delivery should not be required for Non-Retail Sales orders

Suggested by Mahum Faheem Rejected  0 Comments

Mode of delivery if enabled for POS orders should not be a required field on the Non-Retail orders. Currently if the items are found in the mode of delivery, the system requires the mode of delivery to be filled in on Non-Retail orders as well.

    Gift wrapping service

Suggested by Mihail Minchev Rejected  0 Comments

Customer needs a gift wrapping service added as an item/service in the system which could be added to a single sales line if needed. It should be applicable for a defined subset of items and have the option to be valid for some of the lines in the sales order not all of them. And the customers should be able to add that to their purchase and choose which items to be included.

    Eye control by small cameras

Suggested by Zoran Jasak Rejected  0 Comments

With two small cameras (like cameras in mobile phones) placed on frame of glaces and directed to eyes, it's possible to analyze eye movement. It's important for pilots, operators on railroads and all places where continuous attention is of crucial importance. Abnormal situations are wide opened eyes for a longer time, fast blinking eyes, closed eyes, fast moving eyes and number of other situations etc. Such situations recorded can be used as additional trace of some events. I have no resources to realize such idea.

Enable multiple discounts triggered from the same coupon code

Suggested by Andrew Newnham Rejected  0 Comments

There are a number of common scenarios where we require to be able to either link coupons to multiple discounts (currently to 1 relationship), or remove the restriction on a single coupon code value being active at one time. (Ideally the former so you can respect the single use etc. logic). Scenario 1: Triggering multiple discounts/discount types from a single coupon code - for example, With this coupon get 20% off X and free shipping Scenario 2: Enabling different discounts on different days, using the same coupon ('Catch of the day' style). E.g. On Monday's Get 20% Off Mens Shoes, On Tuesday's and Wednesday's Get 10% Off Selected Accessories, At the weekend Get... (This can be set up with separate discounts with the discount period set to apply on the correct day for each - but they cannot share the same coupon code).

Dynamics 365 Commerce customer service requirements notes per service type or return item type

Suggested by Francisco Orozco Rejected  0 Comments

Future featuring a specific external note to gather customer requirements for either service types or item type returns, maybe helpful rather than featuring a generic external printing note. (.e.g. Need photocopy of IF or utility bill). Not featuring requirement note for returns items, or services to be rendered or rendering, maybe helpful to advance progress and save service timings at POs or at customer service counter.

Allow users to be connected to multiple call centres / allow call centre to be selected on the sales order

Suggested by Paula Wong Rejected  2 Comments

Allow users to be connected to multiple call centres/Allow call centre to be selected on the order by the user. A user may be a call centre user for a company that has multiple departments. eg. Departments of Homeware, Men's clothing, etc. If each department was set up as separate call centres, then different assortments can be configured for each call centre/department. then rules can be enforced by the system to ensure that the sales order can only include items for one department/call centre on it.
