Asset management maintenance checklist template line on Open in Microsoft Office
Suggested by Jose Vazquez – New – 0 Comments
Asset Management > Setup > Job > Maintenance Job Type Defaults
When selecting a maintenance checklist, we typically use the "Open in Microsoft Office" option (located beside the attach icon) to access available data entities for use with the Data Management Framework (DMF).
However, in this case, there is no data entity available for the Maintenance Job Type Defaults Checklist.
We believe that this option should display the entity "Asset management maintenance checklist template line"

POLAND JPK_KR_PD Tax Report - Main Account Filter
Suggested by Edyta Polańska – New – 0 Comments
A main account filter would be helpful in the JPK_KR_PD report and would support users in data verification. The main account filter is available in the standard functions as follows: Turnover and balances statement and Journalizing. Note that Turnover and balances statement and Journal there are a part of JPK_KR_PD.

Align Workflow Approval with Printed Journal Header
Suggested by Ilse Mendez Nava – New – 0 Comments
Description:
Currently, the “Approved by” field in the header of the printed general journal report is only populated when the approval checkbox is enabled in the journal name setup. This disables the use of workflow approval, which many customers rely on for compliance and operational control. As a result, journals approved via workflow do not reflect the approver in the printed report header, leading to confusion and audit challenges.
Problem Identified:
The workflow approval updates the approver field in the
LedgerJournalTrans
table, but not in theLedgerJournalTable
header. The SSRS report (LedgerJournalDP
) only queries the header, resulting in missing approver data even when the journal has been properly approved via workflow.Proposed Improvement:
Update the SSRS report logic to fallback to the
LedgerJournalTrans.Approver
field whenLedgerJournalTable.Approver
is empty. Alternatively, enhance the workflow process to populate the header field upon successful approval.Justification:
- Ensures consistency between approval processes and printed documentation
- Improves audit readiness and traceability
- Reduces support cases related to missing approval data
Expected Impact:
- Clearer printed reports for journals approved via workflow
- Better alignment between system behavior and customer expectations
- Enhanced support for compliance and internal controls

Custom view on Open vendor invoices
Suggested by Jacopo Pizzi – New – 0 Comments
The form at path Accounts payable> invoices> Open vendor invoices has a filter on transaction type that is setted by default to show only records with transaction type Lease expenses, Purchase order or Vendor. These filters have been applied starting from version 10.0.44.
If we post an invoice using the general ledger journal, the invoice will have transaction type General Journal. So starting from version 10.0.44 these invoices are not shown automatically in this form anymore.
We tried to modify the filter and save the view as personalised and pinned by default, but when we refresh the page the personalised view is overridden by the standard one.
Since this is a behaviour by design, we're raising this idea in order to ask to allow the personalised view to be saved withouth being overridden by the standard one.

The budget adjustment to account for the increased encumbrance due to exchange rate fluctuations during POYE should be automated
Suggested by Katie Nguyen – New – 0 Comments
Currently, it is necessary to input additional budget in the new fiscal year before running POYE to cover encumbrance increases caused by exchange rate fluctuations, as concluded under KB 1047194.
We would like to make this process effortless and fully integrated. Also, there should be a report that shows the fluctuation for budget forecast,

Timesheets: add recently used list in the dropdown for Project Charge Numbers
Suggested by Josh Ginck – New – 0 Comments
Same as title, Please add a list in the dropdown for the Project/Charge Numbers in the Timesheets page.
This will make it much more user friendly to use recently used charge numbers that may have been used in the past month but not the previous week. Presently, we must search for old charge numbers for projects in emails. This will improve the lives of many people.
This "Recently Used" feature could be added to each of the columns when you click in the cell.
Thank you for your attention to my concern.

Added favorite form buttons' confusion!
Suggested by Turgay Kayaer – New – 0 Comments
Hello,
When we add form/report etc. to the favorite, we can easily reach the related screen in the "favorites". But some forms/inquiries have same labels such as "Invoice journal".
There are many "Invoice journal" labelled forms in D365 Finance. Under Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable forms have same labels for this.
- Accounts payable > Invoices > Invoice journal
- Accounts payable > Inquiries and reports > Invoice > Invoice journal
- Accounts receivable > Inquiries and reports > Invoices > Invoice journal
As shown above, all those forms/inquiries have same label and when we add to favorites, they are seemed as same labelled.
To understand which one of them related with the which screen, user needs to click one of them.
To prevent these confusions, it can be added a link when the curser goes one of them.
Lets assume, we added 3 of them to the favorites as below:
- Invoice journal
- Invoice journal
- Invoice journal
When the curser goes to the first one, it can show the path.
If more info needed, i can do help!
