setup two or more shared limit codes for payroll deductions

Suggested by Andrew David Carlos Completed  0 Comments

There is a new option in our IRA deductions to have a post-tax Roth deduction in addition to the standard pre-tax deduction. For an employee who may choose to do both, the deduction limit is for the total of the two combined, not a separate limit for each. This is where the shared limit code would be beneficial. It would be great to set up two shared limit codes and choose one to assign to an employee.

    AP Reprint Check Remittance

Suggested by Jeffrey Newell Completed  1 Comments

It would be nice if you could reprint AP Check Remittances by date ranges, audit trail codes, etc.(Reports > Purchasing > Posting Journals) like you can pay statements in payroll (Reports > Payroll > Reprint Journals) and not have to reprint these one at a time.

Email Remittances from web client does not ask for a specific email address like desktop client of GP

Suggested by Naseer Farooqi Completed  0 Comments

Can you please enhance GP web client to ask for an Email Address while sending Purchase Payment Remittances to vendors. Currently it is using email address with which it was setup in Email setup window. That user is mostly an administrator who has nothing to do with Payment module. It should work similar to normal GP desktop client where it always ask for email address.

    Thanks

Dynamics GP: Show the 'PAID DATE' in the Edit 1099 Transaction information window

Suggested by Cheryl Waswick Completed  0 Comments

In the 'Edit 1099 Transaction information' window (found under Transactions | Purchasing | Edit 1099 Transaction information), all the 1099 debit transactions (aka. 'invoices') are listed showing the 1099 tax type, box number and 1099 amount. However, since 1099's are reported by the PAID DATE, you cannot see the PAID DATE in this window, so it is really a guessing game for the user which invoices are included in the calendar year. (Was a 'December' invoice paid in December or January???.....) Showing only the Invoice doc date is really not helpful at all. To make this window much more efficient for the users, please consider:

    1. Adding the PAID DATE to this window. (The DINVPDOF 'date invoice paid off' field is already in the PM30200/PM20000 tables, so this field would just need to be dragged out to this window. simple!) Just having this would help SO MUCH!

    2. And then add another date restriction to the top to be able to restrict the list for a specific calendar/tax year. Typically you only need to see the invoices for the given tax year, and not all their invoices back to the beginning of time. This would be a 'nice to have' feature. (However to do this, you may need to link to the PM30300 apply table, as some invoices may be partially applied to other documents, so you would need to consider all apply records. Note that the DINVPDOF field is only updated with the 'last' paid date for documents partially applied, and overwritten each time so one invoice from December could have been partially applied in Dec and paid off in Jan, so it would appear on both year's 1099's..)

PTE Expense Approval Issue for Approvers

Suggested by Irfan Rasheed Completed  0 Comments

    Hello,

We have upgraded to GP 2018 October Release (18.4.1361) from GP 2016 R2 (16.00.901).

We are using Project Time and Expense Feature to claim employee expenses for projects. After the upgrade, the approver cannot view his team’s expenses once he clicks Approve Expense Report which redirects the approver to the Navigation window for approval of expenses, which is also blank.

However, the Workflow Managers can view all submitted expenses, whose status is pending user action.

Interestingly, the approver can apply workflow actions via alert emails.

We raised a support ticket and the Microsoft support engineer advised us a resolution to enter the Approver's name in the delegation window under Employee Maintenance Window (TrackingID#2205120060000535), then the approver can see all his pending expenses, At the same time support engineer submit that issue to the development team as he believes it shall be also fixed in newer versions.

Please fix this problem in newer versions or via the service pack, as by doing this the approver can see all employee's expenses whether they are relevant to him or not and it makes confusion.

    With Regards.

Irfan Rasheed | Manager ERP | Avanceon Limited

Have the Send To email work with Modern Authentication

Suggested by Kayla Schilling Completed  1 Comments

Since legacy authentication is now disabled for Exchange Online, many clients have setup modern authentication in GP. They are finding that they can no longer use the "send to" option to email. There is a workaround, but it would require a process change for our clients that they may find time consuming. Can you update the "send to" option to work with modern authentication with Exchange Online?

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics-gp/installation/email-troubleshooting-guide#mfa---multi-factor-authentication-modern-authentication

When you have modern authentication enabled and you try to use the "SEND TO" option in Microsoft Dynamics GP, it will still prompt for the Exchange login. Modern authentication is not enabled off the "SEND TO" button/option. An alternative workaround to this is use the Report Option Windows as modern authentication is enabled there. For example if you are printing a Trial Balance, go to Reports | Financial Trial Balance and create a report option from this window for the report to email and modern authentication is enabled in all Report Option windows. Many customers use this for posting reports too so it will be a process change to use the Report Options window where modern authentication is now enabled VS the "SEND TO" option.
