    Dynamics 365 - Filter option "is one of"

    Please add to the edit filter list "is one of" where it allows you to add multiple data entries for a larger/multiple search result.

    Quick Successive Image and Document Upload and Multi Image/Document Upload

    Business Use Case

    Our users are using the app on a daily basis to document works completion on the ground come rain or shine and time is of essence since they have a heavy workload. Currently, when users take and add photos or upload photos/documents, these can only be done one after another and they have to wait for the uploading spinner to complete before they can upload a next one. The time spent waiting for the upload spinner can be around 3-20 secs and this is hampering their productivity given the volume of work and number of images/document they have to upload per site.


    Business Impact

    We estimate that there are about 70 current users, covering about 30 sites per day, each site requiring them to take and upload about 10 photos on average. Therefore, given that they have to wait around 5 secs to upload each photo/document and that our contractors work every day, the estimated business impact/lost in productivity is very significant at around 875 hours per month or 10,500 hours per year.


    Feature Request/Suggestion

    (a) Allow for users to take and add photos or documents in quick succession without having to wait for each photo/document to complete uploading before they can upload the next one. 

     

    (b) Allow for users to upload multiple images/documents at one go without having to wait for each image/document to complete uploading before they can upload the next one. 

     

    To be honest, our users are complaining that these basic issues are hampering their productivity every single day, it is really painful for them and we urge your help please.


    Most modern systems do not have such issue and we are certain Microsoft will not let users down with regards to basic and essential functionality like photo capturing and uploading. Moreover the main purpose of using a system such a dynamics 365 is to enhance productivity but now it seems like it is hampering it.


    A quick feature update can really but so helpful in the users's productivity and we will really appreciate that this can be looked into urgently. Really appreciate it.

    Asset Tree view control from Lookup

    When lot of customer assets associated to a service account with unique names(eg: HVAC Unit), user has to click on lookup and search and find the relevant asset by further checking the asset number to make sure the correct asset selected.


    A Tree view control will help to look for the relevant asset by going through asset hierarchy and select the asset to the work order or other work order tables that referencing the Customer asset field.

    Scheduling multiple bookings from the map on the schedule board

    When selecting a booking on the map functionality on the schedule board you are able to view the record or schedule it. However, when there is more than a single booking other than seeing a pop-up of the WO numbers you cannot interact. We should be able to either select the work orders and book them or at the very least filter the unscheduled work orders list at the bottom to then be able to interact with those work orders.

    Send notifications to admins when workflows/async jobs fail

    RSO to Support Requirement Groups

    Use Resource Scheduling Optimization (RSO) to optimize to Support Requirement Groups.


    • Currently they have 2 resources
    • R1 - User (Driver)
    • R2 - Equipment (Big Truck)
    • All work orders have specific requirement group (Driver + Big Truck)
    • Currently we can use Requirement Group booking manually to have 2 resources booked to one work order
    • RSO doesn't seem to support "Requirement Groups" but only "Requirements", is there a way to use requirement groups with RSO, if so, how?

    Enable Task recorder

    The task recorder for RSAT [Regression suite automation tool (RSAT) is only enabled in Finance and HR. Ref: Task recorder resources - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Docs

    It has very good capabilities and saves a lot of effort in testing.


    Request to please raise priority of this work in team's backlog to have this capability ready for Field service modules.

    Color Code Form Values

    Previously in the Resco mobile application, business rules could color code fields on the form based on field value. It would be great to have this functionality in FS, FSM, and Inspections so resources can quickly tell certain values are above or below defined logic.

    Specialty Tool Tracking

    I have a unique requirement that keeps cropping up - tracking of specialty tools sent to technicians


    The scenario is this: The customer has these specialized tools that are required to perform certain jobs. The customer, once it’s realized those tools are required for that job, will ship the tools out to a technician. That technician may use it on that 1 job or a few during that timeframe. Once done, the tech has to ship the tools back so they become available to others. 


    Based on this, I was thinking of several different scenarios:


    1) Using Bookable Resource of Type = Equipment. I was thinking of extending that record to indicate the following:

    • Current location (warehouse or resource)
    • Tracking entity…tracks the shipping to/from a tech. Once it’s shipped out to a tech, the Equipment becomes unavailable. Once it’s shipped back and confirmed all returned, it’s location and availability is updated. 
    • Having that specialty tool show up on the schedule board as UNAVAILABLE or AVAILABLE depending on if it's assigned out


    2) Setting it up as a Product inventory item and extending functionality to include possible serialization

    • Utilizing Inventory Transfer to transfer from Main warehouse (Source) to Destination (Tech/Truck) warehouse.
    • Extending Warehouse Entity to include Warehouse Type field, and if Warehouse Type does not equal Facility then expose Bookable Resource field (should be limited to User Type)
    • Extending Inventory Transfer entity to include Ship Via, Tracking Info and a Transfer Status (Initiated, Sent, Received, Cancelled. In this scenario, the inventory would NOT be transferred to the destination until it's marked as Received.
    • If Cancelled, the inventory is not transferred
