Dynamics 365 Production BOM design versus BOM assembly, BOM training in versions tracking

Suggested by Francisco Orozco New  1 Comments

Wish there is an option to easily identify BOM design, BOM assembly and BOM training, these 3 three items are independent from each other.

    Design: Tracking importance of:

    -Problems

    -Expectations

    -Image designs

    -Approvals-rejections

    -Eligible or ineligible manufacturers

    -Quality assurance

    -BOM assembly

    BOM Assembly: Tracking importance of:

    -Best time efficiencies

    -Assembly methods and/or preferences

    -Components

    -Outsourcing vendors IF ANY

-Steps (and/or steps transferred from guides)

    -Packaging

    BOM Training: Tracking importance of:

-Best training efficiencies (why, how, where)

-Assembly methods and/or preferences (close-ups, pictures, drawings...)

-Easy visualization of components, components packagings, country of origin, manufacturer, part numbers

-Easy training printing on layout and/or from BOM training catalogues

-Steps (Video clips, images, drawings, or not applicable)

-Floor supervision in the event of hazard operations, disaster, preventions, building, environment, etc....

    Rounding After Margings

Suggested by Simon Sholl New  0 Comments

    Hi,

We have a couple of customers who are looking to use unified pricing but we seem to have the same issue coming up which I don''t think is possible

Essentially the ask is to be able to round up/down AFTER the margin, so for example if my cost price is 22.00, and I have a margin of 10% the sales price would be 24.20. This isn't a very attractive price to the customer so it would be good if we could round it up (or down) to 25.

Something utilizing smart rounding like the base price does would be great but as a step after the margins have been applied.

Allow Different Quantities for Alternate/Substitution Items in Formula Lines

Suggested by Daniel Bond New  0 Comments

F&O currently has the ability to list alternative/substitution items on formulas by using the Plan group and Priority to identify the preferred item. A limitation to this functionality is that it is assumed the alternative/substitute item will have the same quantity as the preferred item it is a substitute for.

This limits functional use cases, as the assumption that the alternative/substitution item will follow the same quantity as the preferred item, is not always true. For instance, in terms of a packaging item like film, this is inventoried and tracked on formulas in terms of the weight. For films that have a different density, the weight of the material used is different.

Due to this, I am not able to reduce the number of formulas that my current company is maintaining as we need to have a formula version for each of the different film options we use as packaging for specific Finished Goods.

Another use case limitation would be in our meats. Depending on what meat item we are using in production, determines the weight of that item in our formulas.

This is the second food manufacturing company I have worked for that will have to maintain different formula versions due to the limitations of this functionality.

I believe it is fair to assume that if users are going through the additional formula line data to add a Plan group and Priority to their formula line, that they are aware they are using it for substitution purposes. I have already seen a company add a Substitutions form that is unique to each formula line to make up for this limitation.

‘Over tolerance’ field doesnot have 'Error' option in Mobile device menu item (WHM > setup > Mobile device) where ‘Work creation process set to ‘Good in transit item receiving’

Suggested by Susant Kumar Sabat New  0 Comments

‘Over tolerance’ field doesnot have 'Error' option in Mobile device menu item (WHM > setup > Mobile device) where ‘Work creation process set to ‘Good in transit item receiving’

System allows to proceed ‘Good in transit’ with the warning message (Warning message – you are about to complete an over receipt of 1 pcs) when user over receive PO quantity (instead 1 qty, updates 2 quantities) through Mobile devices against landed cost process since setup in Mobile device menu item (WHM > setup > Mobile device) has ‘Over tolerance’ field set to ‘Warning’ where ‘Work creation process set to ‘Good in transit item receiving’.

Expectation: Since only ‘Warning’ option available in ‘Mobile device menu item’s form for ‘Goods in transit item receiving’, expectation is to introduce ‘Error’ option, so that user will get blocked and will not be able to process Over receive PO quantity.

Improve the level of information/responsiveness to the "The operation is taking a long time to process, click Wait to keep waiting for it to complete" message

Suggested by Steve Emmons New  0 Comments

This request is to extend the information presented in the "The operation is taking a long time to process, click Wait to keep waiting for it to complete" dialog, often appearing when long-running processes are executing in interactive mode. The context that this specific request is being issued is when large volume shipments (>3K containers or more) are confirmed, often executing for several minutes.

Typically, when the functional users click the presented "Wait" option, there is often no response on the All Shipments form (whsshipmenttable form) unless the user attempts to close or refresh the form, at which point the message will reappear.

Our user community has requested more feedback to be presented on the form, such as a progress dialog - anything that can provide at least some cosmetic visibility that the triggered process is doing something.

Able to set inventory quantity (multiple, min, max & standard order quantity) per warehouse instead of site only

Suggested by Niels n.ellenbroek@cnc.nl New  0 Comments

In the released product default order setting you have inventory quantity settings (multiple, min, max & standard order quantity) per site.

Within our sites we have multiple production locations. But the production order qty for the same product can be different for the production locations within 1 site. It would be very useful if we could set these quantities per warehouse so that the masterplanning proposes correct production order with correct quantities.

We now had to move these production locations to the leven of sites and that causes other issues and extra work.
