    Description is not showing in invoice voucher in Project Management & Accounting

    Issue description – Description is not showing in invoice voucher for “Expenses” lines in project management and accounting under project invoices.

    Expected:- Description would be showing in invoice voucher.

    steps

    1.      Navigate to Project management and accounting>> project invoices>>project invoices

    2.      These project transactions integrated entries through CE application(Dual write).

    3.      Select any one line” Expense” entry posted in project invoices tab.

    4.     Check the expense transaction posted details.

    5.Check the expense tab and descriptions for all the 3 lines has been updated in the form.

    6. When click on “voucher” and check the transactions. There would be description details Shown on the voucher page.

    Auto Reservation should be available in project journal as per our choice, already button are available, but we required when we change this button from manual to auto reservation it should reserved all items under that journal

    Hi Team, Greetings!


    Customer facing issue related to Description for expense postings on voucher transactions in project management and accounting.


    we have raised Work item 797450 and received below comments that, this cannot be fixed now .

    "Default descriptions and descriptions generally are currently not enabled for expense journals and this is a high-risk area with multiple dependencies, so not something we can accept as a bug fix at this time".


    Kindly consider this issue on priority and help customer/partners to get this feature at the earliest in coming versions.

    Funding source is getting picked wrongly when imported through data entity.

    In current functionality system is taking first customer account from funding source by default even when we have associated last funding source with the project and for 100% allocation.


    But we feel that system should consider the funding source which customer want to allocate and not by default.


    I request you to consider the above suggestion in the upcoming version.

    Show approved time off in schedule board

    In the Board Settings display a toggle control to allow showing the approved time-off in the schedule board. The default value should be toggled-on. In the board itself display the time off with a customizable color, the reason and the duration.

    Data entity "Project ledger posting definition" should allow updates

    The data entity "Project ledger posting definition" allows to export data, but can only be used to import data once.

    As soon as data has been imported no updates to the existing records are possible. This error is shown:

    "Cannot create a record in Ledger posting setup (Projosting), Account type: Cost, The record already exists."


    Other data entities like "Ledger posting definition for procurement" allow to update existing records. This should also be possible for the data entity "Project ledger posting definition".

    Dynamics 365 Project permits and permit types with expiration dates

    Wish there is an option to future include project permits, types and expiation dates, before a project maybe available for posting transactions.


    Featuring the on-hold or not created, maybe conventional, however compliance with all permits rules with option to auto-create or release a project, maybe optimum.

    When user runs the Project elimination for multiple projects. If any project has an error system stops the entire process

    Description: The issue is with Project elimination for multiple projects.

    When we are trying to do Project elimination for multiple projects. If any project has an error system, it stops the entire process.


    Example: If we have 7 Projects suppose the errors occur in 3rd Project then system eliminating first 2 projects and it is throwing an error and stops the entire process.


    Expected outcome: System has to complete the entire process and it should show the error only for the project which has an issue.

    On Hand Inventory column should show data

    When we add on hand inventory column for the item journal in project management and accounting, system should show the details if that particular item has any on hand inventory available.


    We request you to consider above mentioned idea as we believe that this functionality can save end user's time to a great extent.

    Hi Team,

    We have reporting issue from partner / customer in expense journal default description is not capturing in Project management and accounting. we have raised work item with PG team and PG team updated as they have to update description for expense lines manually.

    it would be helpful if this would be fixed permanently for customer in upcoming versions and notify partners.
