    Importing resources

    If possible it would be extremely helpful to be able to import resources when importing an MPP. There are number of other import limitations described here (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/move-your-project-from-project-desktop-to-project-for-the-web-143ab391-002e-451a-aedb-3b6fa1f6ab8b#bkmk_featuresthatdontmigrate) that would be great if they could be addressed.

    Customer payment retention for Fixed- Price projects

    Kindly include the option of having the customer retention terms incorporated in the Fixed-Price project type contract billing rules.


    Currently, the only option available is to have the retention percentage specified on the billing rule itself and the customer retention terms does NOT work for Fixed-Price Project Type.

    Project operation Expenses Invoice line not displayed the Voucher description

    All clients are unable to voucher description under the expenses invoice.


    Business Impact


    Transactions without remarks are not acceptable as they are difficult to track. We will have audit issues also.

    Resource Utilization Chart for Delivery Project

    Currently the resource utilization chart/view supports sales project. There are situation where we create project without project contract. We do have resources in the project. We would like to see the overview utilization of each resources and to drill down to each project that contributes the utilization, so the project manager could reassign resources.

    Expense Management - retain link between receipt and expense line after deleting from expense report

    When an expense line is removed from the expense report and it becomes available to be attached to a new expense report, the link between the expense line and the receipt has been broken when it was removed from the original report. For users that have already associated the receipt with the expense and for whatever reason have to remove it from one expense report to add to another, they have to go through the process of linking the two again. This is a usability issue

    Returned timesheets do not appear in timesheet app to be updated and submitted again.

    Retuned timesheets are not appearing in timesheet app. It should be available so that user can update and resubmit the timesheet since users may not have access to D365 web client.

    Project Tasks - Show Dates and Effort by default

    I would love to see the following columns showing up by default in the Tasks tab of a Project: Effort, Start Date, End Date.


    Also, since the system is dependent on these values before we can generate a Resource Requirement, these would be key fields a user should be filling in. Showing the columns by default would save clicks when setting up a new Project.

    Error encountered when trying to adjust a Project transaction

    With reference to LCS Issue 769787:

     

    When trying to adjust a Project transaction (Item) where the on-hand quantity is zero and an open Sales order exist with automatic reservation, the system cannot adjust the transaction because of error message:

     

    Transaction updated for transaction ID XXX

    New transactions created for transaction ID XXX.

    Item number: XXX Physical on-hand Color=XXX,Site=X,Warehouse=XXX 100 cannot be picked because only 0 is/are available from the inventory for item: XXX.

    Update has been canceled.

     

     

    Due to the current way the system is intended to work, the process of adjusting transactions within the current scenario is prevented, creating a high time and monetary loss for the users. The available solution as such to accommodate the business process, e.g., to delete all the open sales order lines is creating a lot of additional administrative work which may be prevented if a change may be introduced in the benefit of the customers.
