Retain Expanded Hierarchy States in Scorecards & Goals Overview

Suggested by Johannes Jahn New  0 Comments

In the Scorecards & Goals overview within Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability, users often work with multi-level goal hierarchies. Currently, when a user expands certain levels and navigates into a specific goal, returning to the overview collapses all previously expanded levels. This forces users to manually re-expand the hierarchy each time, leading to inefficiencies and a frustrating user experience.

We propose implementing a feature that preserves the expanded or collapsed state of each level when navigating away from and returning to the overview. This would significantly improve usability, save time, and support a more seamless workflow for sustainability teams managing complex goal structures.

Improve 'Organizational Hierarchy' Filters in MSM OOTB Dashboards

Suggested by Nivin Babu New  0 Comments

We have identified issue with the 'Organizational Hierarchy' filters in the Microsoft Sustainability Manager (MSM) out-of-the-box (OOTB) dashboards. Currently, these filters display a default of six levels of drill down, even when there are no underlying values present. This configuration is causing confusion among end users, as they are presented with options to expand filters that do not contain any additional data.

Request: We request an update to the OOTB dashboard filters to ensure that the drilldown (expand) option is not displayed when there is no data below the organization parent level. . This update will significantly improve the clarity and usability of the MSM dashboards, reducing confusion and enhancing the overall user experience.

    Limit Data Ingestion options

Suggested by Ray Ren New  0 Comments

Currently, in MSM -> Data -> Imports -> New, there are 4 options given to the end user, which might create unnecessary confusion to end users to choose from.

It would be great if we could have a setting to limit the options, for example, a certain group of users can only see the option of "Excel Template".

MS to ensure that all data required to fulfill the new sustainable requirements of what information a company must have on a product, can be extracted as a report and all fields needed are in the released products table.

Ability to register factor values for multiple years within the same factor name in Microsoft Sustainability Manager

Suggested by Chie Kubota New  0 Comments

Currently, when registering in the Factor library in the Microsoft Sustainability Manager app, there is no functionality to register factor values for multiple years within the same factor name.

This functionality would make it easier for users to manage year-to-year changes in factor values and calculations.

Different (/new) factor library related to EXIOBASE

Suggested by Taina Patrikainen New  0 Comments

EXIOBASE Gross / Total Output has not been considered suitable for use as emission factors and their existence in MS Sustainability Manager has even been considered misleading.

More useful and obvious option for emission factors related to EXIOBASE would be:

EXIOBASE - MRIO extension multipliers (total requirement factors of consumption).

In other words, the hope would be to have 'EXIOBASE M PXP IPCC GWP100 AR5' emission factors in MS Sustainability Manager.

    Remove ownership of import jobs

Suggested by Elizabeth Lilly Needs Votes  0 Comments

Import jobs are accessible (for editing or even examination) only to the creator of that import. That job can be transferred by that user to someone else. The documentation says that it's possible for an admin to transfer import jobs.

However, users with an admin security role in MSM are not able to do this. It may be a global admin who can do this outside MSM. But we don't know. This gives us risk because our imports are complex, and if someone were to leave the company without transferring, we'd have to rebuild these jobs. And they aren't easy to document, so we wouldn't have much to go on.

I'd suggest that either the system is modified so that those in the admin security role are able to transfer import jobs or eliminate this ownership restriction. No other parts of the tool (like calculations or All Emissions) are restricted to the creator. Imports (from our perspective) aren't in more need of this "protection" than other functions.
