The option to upload an attachment by drag and drop to the document handling (DocuRef) like in sharepoint would be a very useful option.
Many customers on older AX versions are using this functionality and would miss it after an upgrade to D365.

An entire overhaul of the document attachment and handling is required. Strange to see the document attachment feature in Dynamics as opposed to SharePoint and OneDrive can have such a bug contrast whilst being developed by the same Company.

This is 100% necessary. Other platfomrs can do this why not D365?

Drag & drop would be a huge time saving as to many clicks to select file & load. I process invoices in D365 everyday and the ability to drag & drop the invoice I have open and just processed would save a heap of time. Our staff have also said this would be a huge time saving being able to do this when creating a Purchase Requisition and attaching the supporting documents.

Works in SAP and a number of other competitors

Would love to see this include the ability to rename a file based on data from the record it is be linked to and save it out to sharepoint.

I would be tremendously useful and a great advantage to Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, if we could drag & drop documents into the document management forms or other forms, rather than select a file name and then click an Upload button.

Every other modern application supports this, so please consider it for Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.

Found this feature request looking for the same functionality in our environment. Necessary enough functionality that somebody made a third-party solution. Including the link in case anybody else needs the fix (or Microsoft wants to buy them ;) ). https://www.elysian2.com/ettach
