This is less of a feature request and more of a bug/issue.
Not only is the system defaulting to showing the original BOM vs the active one, if you use the "Copy BOM" feature to pre-populate a new BOM (maybe a small design tweak or different TAB of a part) the original BOM is what is being copied over and not the active BOM version. This is an issue if you are on version G of a BOM and you create a new BOM. Version A of the copied COM is what is copied over even though there is a bunch of changes between that and the current version. Please Fix this and when you do, fix the Copy BOM (maybe add a slider to "COPY ACTIVE VERSION?")

This is really the main reason why we can't adopt BOM versions. We are in Medical and Change control is very common. While the current version system works fine for Planners as what they plan for is the active BOM, if people are using the BOM for reference, they are continually getting confused because when they open it, the original BOM is what loads rather than the active version. Imagine getting scolded numerous times because you didn't make an update, but the person reviewing thought the system was showing them the active version when they opened the Production BOM. This really needs to get fixed.

This is a common mod and one reason many customers don't use versions. When you open a production BOM it needs to open to the active version or users are confused. Same on the routing verisons.

It is great to have the old versions, but when you go into a Item's BOM components, I need to see the active one.
