Data management exports allow the selection of target data format file types like CSV, Tab-Separated, Colon-Separated, etc. delimited files.
This export framework does not utilize common standards for these types of delimited files, causing errors when processing files generated by the same system. Having to manually correct exported files during a cutover significantly hampers the benefits of data package templates for environment stand-up.
Exports with delimiter characters should also utilize quote characters to surround text fields which include the delimiter character. Potentially include a default definition for these file types and allow users to specify alternate delimiters and quote characters as parameters when selecting the relevant target data format.
