It would be very helpful to have the option to sort all case activity types together within a case by date / time instead of having them sorted into buckets first.

For example, when I look at a case and specifically at Case Activities, my activities are bucketed into Posts, Activities and Notes. There is no view that allows me to see all posts, activities and notes in one list in chronological order so that I can get a clear view of the total progress that has occurred. Instead I have to switch between the 3 buckets tracking the date.
