Problem:
In Dynamics 365 Model-Driven Apps (e.g., Customer Service Hub), the left-navigation (sitemap) panel has a fixed width. Long entity or area names get truncated, making it harder for users to quickly identify and access records.
Current Limitation:
The panel width is controlled by the Unified Interface shell and cannot be changed. There are no supported settings or APIs to adjust it.
Proposed Feature:
Add a configurable option (in App Designer or Power Platform Admin Center) to adjust the navigation panel width — for example, 220 px, 260 px, 300 px, or auto-fit.
Benefits:
Improves readability and navigation speed.
Enhances usability for service agents and admins.
Supports various screen sizes and accessibility needs.
Eliminates the need for unsupported CSS/JS workarounds.
Request:
Provide an out-of-the-box setting to control or auto-fit the navigation panel width in the model driven app.
Comments
Would be wonderful if it could be resizeable similar to the Teams panel on the right side!
