Currently in D365 HR and in the HR Teams App the half day definition field is not mandatory, therefore meaning a half day can be submitted without selecting the half day definition of AM or PM and it would be good to make this mandatory so that it had to be selected if a half day is being requested by an employee. In D365 HR, employees are more likely to add the half day definition as the arrow for the pick list appears on the next column once Half-day has been selected in the Amount column in the request time off form. Whereas in the HR Teams App the half day definition can be seen using the three dots and then selected, therefore meaning it is more likely to be missed when using the App to apply for leave.
