It would be extremely useful to have dynamics date entry for recurring batch job processing. Example of dynamics coding could be:
(day(0)) = today
(day(-1)) = yesterday
(month(-1)) = this day last month
The syntax doesn't have to allow for complex scenarios, the most important requirement is a dynamic input for today.

This used to be OOTB functionality in previous versions. Why provide the ability to set up recurrences if input dates are not dynamic. Impacts the automation of a number of key business processes across several modules i.e. AP, AR, Asset Leasing, etc eg. Recurring invoices, Asset leasing batched payment schedule journal creation, etc

This feature is an absolute must. We should be able to use "Date interval" feature while setting up periodic batch jobs-suppose we wish to simulate month end foreign currency valuation or to send month end statements to customers, I should not have to come and enter the date every time we run it- the 'recurrence' feature in the batch job is meaningless if they will run all the time using the date values setup for the first time.

This seems like a complete 'no brainer' and is standard functionality in some much older products.I can't believe this was suggested over 3 years ago and MS have still not provided this basic functionality!

This would be an improvement to the product OOB
