After applying the December 2016 update I have attempted to set up the App for Outlook.


When opening the app I see the ADFS login screen appear in a popup window. I complete the login details but am then just shown a blank web page instead, and the "Having trouble signing in?" message is displayed within the app.


Using the F12 developer tools in the popup IE window seems to indicate there are JavaScript errors on the page (attempting to access properties of the window.opener object, which is undefined)

For a lot of month we have the same problem, that the dynamics -App for outlook DOES NOT WORK. Known issue. Not a good message to our customers.

they (ALL) were very annoyed about this information. 70% of our troubles concerning dynamics 365 CRM are based on Outlook-Integration.

Nobody can unsterstand that

  •  Dynamics released from Microsoft
  • ADFS-Service released from Microsoft
  • OWA released from Microsoft
  • Outlook released from Microsoft
  • Exchange released from Microsoft

 and we were not able to deliver a working solution for Integration of Outlook and Dynamics CRM/365.

For a very long time. We as a partner had loosing any credability in this case, which is very important to most customers.

 WE MUST GET a FIX from MS, as soon as poosible and can not wait on Ver 8.2.2.

A Fix for bing map integration is available why the hell not for a much more important issue.

As a long term partner of MS I am totally frustrated about this "NON-Feature".

continuous prompting authentication by clicking Dynamics 365 icon on mail and then finally blank page appear on internet explorer even from web outlook or by Microsoft Outlook 2016. Dynamics CRM for outlook, Mobile and Tablets everywhere working fine except "Dynamics 365 for Outlook"

Tried all of the settings in that article and still same issue here.  Just saw that the old installed client is being deprecated, so we may not have an option soon.  Either there's a bug that needs to be fixed, or if not then at the very least we need better error messaging/tracking to help us get this working.
