Often blanket purchase agreements are negotiated for a set quantity or volume with the allowance of price breaks or separate pricing by site, or pricing that may vary within the time-frame of the agreement. Scenarios: - Contoso commits to purchase 100000 pcs of item A0001 from Jan 31-Dec 31. The price of A0001 is increased by 10% starting in July. - Contoso commits to purchase 100000 pcs but get a 10% discount for orders greater than 100 pcs. - Contoso commits to purchase 100000 pcs of item A0001 but the price at Site 1 is different than Site 2. Trade agreements support all of the above, but are overwritten when used in conjunction with a product value commitment agreement. Suggest the use of a a parameter (item, vendor, agreement) which would allow the release order line to reference an eligible trade agreement for pricing. Alternatively, we could build price/quantity breaks into the purchase agreement object itself.
Comments
This is something which comes up on a regular basis when speaking to customers, and would be a fairly simple addition to the functionality.
As Steve suggests, allow a parameter to defer the pricing to the trade agreement rather then taking the price from the purchase or sales agreement
