We see a fantastic opportunity to enhance the RTM experience by enabling customers to subscribe to our newsletter directly through the event registration process. By integrating the option to collect commercial consent via a double opt-in (DOI) journey within the event registration form, we can ensure a seamless and engaging experience for our attendees while expanding our reach.
Currently, the DOI journey is only triggered through the standard marketing form, which means we’re missing out on valuable leads from those who register for events. By aligning the event registration form with this functionality, we can capture more interest and build stronger connections with potential customers.
This improvement would not only help us grow our audience but also create a more unified and efficient process for both event participants and our team.

Dear Microsoft Admins,I can only underline the importance of this feature, at least for any GDPR-compliant company in Europe. Just as an example ... as long as this feature is not available, we are not able to use Microsoft Dynamics Event Planning at all - even though it has other charming features.Since the event registration forms do not allow DOI, we feel compelled to look for a professional event management tool that offers GDPR-compliant processes in a user-friendly way.The proposed workaround mith a mutlistep approach is far from customer-oriented - we would lose registrants on the way and - even more - would harm our reputation as a solution driven service provider.I would love to hear Microsoft taking GDPR requirements of European companies serious and taking this request on the Roadmap sooner than later.

We, or rather our customers, also miss this important requirement. Webinars, in particular, are THE way for many companies to obtain opt-in in addition to event registration. Currently, this is only possible through a multi-step workaround with unsatisfactory results in terms of conversion rates. However, it is very important here (as well as on regular website forms) that consent can be given optionally (only for those who are interested in further information by clicking the checkbox). Anyone who doesn't click the checkbox at all or doesn't provide their consent in the event of an event will not receive a DOI email and will still be created as a contact/lead with event registration.
