To use this meaningfully, the form would have to be pre-filled with some dynamic data from the work order incident. E.G. Service-account, customerasset, date of fulfillment..

This is a huge benefit and must. We currently have flows to generate PDF's using pre-set word templates and converting to PDF and then publishing to Portal, SharePoint. Having the customisations from the word document on the inspection form would be game changer.

A dynamic header and footer is really needed where you can put in data from related records and e.g. a company logo. (similar to the rich text editor you have for the Email template)
We did this with a custom development for the header, but footer is not so easy to implement the way we did it.

Yes, I agree! The inspection PDF should be customisable and you should be able to add any info from WO like service accounts, assets etc.

Ideally, you should be able to place any field from the WO onto the Inspection. Ideally also from the related lookup entity. You should also have a control for current date.

A definite improvement would be to have the ability to add a Company Logo to the downloaded version to send to the customer, also the ability to not include all questions / responses as some may be for internal use only and not of interest to the customer so a tick box to exclude those.

Yes, it would also be very useful to export Inspection data in other formats such as xml. Often inspection data is used for input into other applications for analysis and this would be helpful

This is an absolutley good idea. In order to distribute the inspection export to customers it should also be possible to add some defautl layout options like the company logo.
